Cammi was pulled from North Central shelter by Angels in Fur. The contact is Rachelle Lynn at ilvpaws AT earthlink.net.
Funds are kindly requested for Cammi's surgery to recover from being struck by a car. Cammi is being fostered at Angels in Fur Dog Rescue Rachelle Lynn's home and doing very well. She has already seen Dr. Morsehead (an orthopedic vet) two times and is set to have her tail amputated this Friday 2/22/08. She will spend the night and Rachelle will pick her up on Saturday. Rachelle is waiting to get the estimate for the surgery and should receive it in a day or so. The vet works with Rachelle and does not charge her but anticipates donations will come in for the bill. Rachelle plans on Cammi's bill being at least $1,000.00 if not a bit more. It is not merely a tail docking. Her tail has been separated from her spine above her hip area. Dr. Morsehead will be removing it up in that part of the spine. He also needs to take an X-ray of her back right leg. It has swelled up since Rachelle got her from the pound and she is favoring it by hopping or limping. To think that she came in unable to walk at all or go to the bathroom with out help ...to walking, hopping really fast, and going to the bathroom....SHE HAS QUITE A SPIRIT :) Rachelle also uses a holistic dog nutritionalist (Natural Touch 4 Paws) and her herbs and vitamins have healed many of her rescued and run over dogs in the past. Rachelle also has an appointment for Cammi to see a dog chiropractor as soon as she can after her surgery :) Thank you so much for desiring to help Rachelle help Cammi.

Please consider all the good that we do. If you were to foster a dog it will not cost you anything. We will supply you with food and anything they need. If you do not have the ability to take one of our angels into your home, PLEASE help one by sponsoring their kenneling. Do not hesitate to call me if you have any questions.
