West Hollywood, CA: UPDATE: Mother Cat rescued from Lumber Yard

Please donate and/or crosspost for Cally

This is an update re Mother Cat rescued from Lumber Yard with Infection of Mammary Glands whose kittens were dead. Jacquelyn and Serena have rescued her, taken her to a vet, and located a foster home for her for when she gets released from the vet (spayed of course!). She is still at the vet's office because her infection has not cleared up yet. If people would like to assist, donations are greatly needed for the vet bills. Please read Jacquelyn's email herebelow. Thank you!

Subject: Donations Needed For Vet Bills

Hello Everyone:

Please cross post this email far and wide to help us with Cally's vet bills:

The mother cat rescued from the lumber yard is still at Laurel Pet Hospital recuperating from her infection as well as a very large bruise on her belly. (We believe that somebody may have kicked her). When she was brought to the hospital, she could barely stand using her back legs. She is doing much better now as she has been at the hospital since last Tuesday. We are trying to raise money to help with the vet bills. As of last Tuesday, April 29th, our bill was $212. They are charging us $19.20 per day to board her so as of today, we owe an additional $134.40 cents. Total thus far is $346.40

If you would like to donate to help with Cally's vet bills, please send a check to (they do not accept out of state checks):

Laurel Pet Hospital
7970 Santa Monica Blvd.
West Hollywood, CA 90046

Please notate on the check that the donation is for Cally and include the client name, Hobday K, and File number: 5165

If you would like to donate via credit card, please fill out the authorization slip shown here and fax it to Laurel Pet Hospital. The fax number is: (323) 650-0423

Thanks everyone,

Jacquelyn

Subject: Urgent: Mother Cat rescued from Lumber Yard with Infection of Mammary Glands, Kittens Dead!
Hello Everyone:
Please Cross-Post this email far and wide.

My friend, Serena rescued a sick mother cat from a lumber yard. She had 2 kittens that passed away as her mammary glands dried up and she had an infection. Serena took the mother cat to the vet and she is being treated for the infection. They tested her for FELV/FIV and she tested negative. She is on clavamox and she is currently being boarded at the vet's office because my friend cannot bring her home due to issues with her landlord. This cat is tame and is approximately 1 year old. She will be spayed and vaccinated as soon as her infection clears. If Serena does not find someone to foster her while we look for a permanent home, she will have to release her back to the lumber yard where it is not safe.
