Donations Needed to Save "Princess"!!
"Princess" is a beautiful, snowy white cat who was originally adopted from the shelter when she was a tiny kitten. Four years later she was dumped back into the same shelter by uncaring owners who were "moving." She was so scared, but very sweet and gentle and when one of the shelter volunteers opened her cage, she came forward and curled up into the crook of her arm.
I adopted Princess to a wonderful family who had adopted a cat from me before; they were looking for a "buddy" for their cat. After the usual adjustment period, the two cats became fast friends.
A few days later Princess became lethargic and depressed. Her adopter's Vet advised euthanasia before doing tests or giving a diagnosis. Luckily, her adopters called me. I told them to bring her immediately to my Vet where she was examined, x-rayed and had blood work. An ultrasound followed and it was confirmed that Princess has Feline Hepatic Lipidosis (Fatty Liver Disease.) Most of the time this is caused by a cat not eating for some amount of time, probably when she was at the shelter.
This is very serious, and Princess is critical. My Vet is optimistic that we can save her but we need funds to keep her treatment going. She is now on a feeding tube so she can receive nourishment, fluids and meds. Yesterday she had a blood transfusion. Her bill is close to $2000 and rising.

Princess survived the high kill shelter TWICE and is finally out, with a home to go to when she is well and a family who loves her. Please help us keep her alive.
