The EU list is made late on Mondays for Tuesday morning so if any interest and you can squeeze even 1 or 2 in it would be wonderful.

The shelters hours are Tues thru Sat 10 to 5 and Sun 2 to 5 and closed to public on Monday, but rescue can come if they let the shelter know ahead of time.

I like dozing on a nice soft cushion and I like my ears scratched too. I would like a yard to sniff around in and I'm interested in meeting other dogs . Ghost showed up in my backyard a week ago. He had a stick stuck in the roof of his mouth, and I have tried every trapping trick in the book to get him, but he is trap savvy. He somehow got the stick out, but I'm sure part of it is still in there because he is drooling profusely and not eating very much. I am in a panic, because I want very much to help this feral cat, but haven't the funds to get him medical care, nor can I get A HOLD of him.

I am asking for help in obtaining a drop trap (which I don't know how to use, so I'll need physical help with that), or help in trapping him from some expert trappers and for donations toward his medical care.

I recently posted for help for one of my own cats, because I am completely broke since the IRS recently garnished my wages. I hate to go begging again, but this poor cat does not deserve to live in pain. The pictures are not that good since they came from my phone camera, but it is the best I can do. He is very skittish and bolts if he even knows someone is looking at him.

Chance Chance is one of the sweetest, gentlest souls. She was very loved by everyone at the shelter but they were happy to finally see her going home. Dr. Lee the vet at the shelter said she believes Chance was hit by a car, she said she has a fractured spine but that nothing can be done for her. When my vet looked at the x-rays sent from the shelter he couldn't believe it! He couldn't believe first of all that she was even able to walk and definitely that she wasn't in excruciating pain! He said that the shelter x-rays were so out of focus but that it looked like she indeed had a fractured (broken) back and that both her hips were broken as well. That means she was in the shelter for almost a month and nobody did anything for her. When he told me this, my heart ached for Chance. This poor girl baby (remember she's only a year) has been through so much in her short little life. On further examining her, it appears that maybe one of her hips has healed but that one of them is still dislocated. HOW IS SHE STILL WALKING! Dogs are so amazing!!! In the meantime... I'm happy to report she was happy playing in the grass with little Frankie. She'll stop when she's had enough and rest. I have faith she'll live a long happy life once we get her all fixed up. in St. Martinville, Louisiana tel.: 337-394-1220. These beautiful pets' lives are in danger.

This is a high kill facility and these pets could be euthanized on March 11.

Many pets get pulled thanks to all the people crossposting and to animal welfare groups
getting them out of the pound. Thanks to all of you!

If your group pulls a dog (sorry it does not work for cats)
from the pound, please let me know and give me your
website address or some info on how to donate to you.
The reason is because in DogsInDanger.com
where the dogs are also listed, I can enter additional info
once a pet's status is changed to adopted/rescued. If I
mention your group, you may occasionally get a donation
towards that pet's care from relieved dog lovers.

Note that by the time you receive this e-mail, there are probably more
pets - cats and dogs - not in this list. It does not hurt to ask the staff what
other pets they have...
