KENTUCKY 3 prison program dogs going back to the kill shelter5/21/09 Donna Chenault dkchenault@yahoo.com wrote:
All three of these wonderful dogs have just completed a prison dog training program in Muhlenburg County and earned their Good Citizen Award but now they are going back to the high-kill shelter on FRIDAY May 22 because nobody wants them. It makes me sad to know all this work has been put into the dogs and now they will go back to being shelter dogs with little attention. If anyone can pull them please let me know, this is a desperate plea as Nellie being a run of the mill black dog ruins her odds for adoption, and Cheyenne's blue eyes have apparently gotten her no where. Max with his grumbly Cocker self will go back to an environment that made him grumpy to begin with. These guys are great dogs, Max is the only one with an attitude, but those of you with Cockers understand. I hope someone can help, if that is not the case, when you do think about pulling a dog please consider one of these 3. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a miracle...Thanks all,
Donna
