California: SB 250 Urgent Alert! Please call today! Yes on SB250. PRO The Pet Responsibility Act

7/14 UPDATE FROM JUDIE MANUSO -

SB 250 VOTE MOVED TO AUGUST

Dear friends,
In his role as Senate Majority Leader, Senator Florez is in the middle of negotiations to resolve the state budget impasse. As a result, Senator Florez will not be presenting SB 250 in the Assembly Appropriations Committee on Wednesday Morning. We have heard from Committee Staff of your overwhelming support and we have now received over 5,000 support letters from individual pet lovers. We will continue to update you on the progress of SB 250 when it is taken up in August. With your enthusiastic support, Senator Florez is confident the bill will continue to move forward. Thank you!
Sincerely,
Judie Mancuso, President, Social Compassion In Legislation (SCIL) A 501(c)(4) non-profit organization focused on reducing pet overpopulation through legislation.

We are almost to the finish line! Your phone calls and letters have been great, but please don't stop now. We still need your help to get SB 250 through this final committee. The opposition to this bill (AKC, Farm Bureau, backyard breeders) are absolutely flooding the Capitol with misinformation. We need the Committee members to hear from good honest animal people!
