Hi Liz, ... Lindy from Lafayette, LA has been adopted.

You can see Lindy's PetFinder listing here.A volunteer wrote that, "This little girl has lost a noticeable amount of weight since she's been at the shelter. It's not due to lack of care, but probably from the stress of being in a shelter setting for close to 3 months. We all know that once stress starts to bother an animal, their immune system is weakened. The sooner this sweet girl is out, the better."

It's been almost 3 months now since Lindy arrived at Lafayette Animal Control Center in Lafayette, LA. And while she's been there, she's watched as almost 100 other dogs have been adopted or pulled by rescue groups. We're hoping desperately that it won't be long now before Lindy can go home, too. She's a young adult, probably less than 3 years old, and she's a petite girl at only around 30 lbs. She's friendly, she likes to play and she gets along fine with other dogs. She'd make a wonderful friend to the lucky family who ends up sharing their life and home with her. We can't understand why she's still here, why she's been passed over so many times. She needs a rescue or an adopter soon (and we have a sponsor who will offer a $100 donation for her, should an approved rescue group take her).
Please think about her. And please pass this around to all of your contacts. If you'd like more information, don't hesitate to contact us at roicyvolunteers@gmail.com or call 337.291.5644 and ask for Kaysie.
