Subject: Hancock County, IL CAT SHOT WITH ARROW!!! OMG!!
I got a call about a cat being found with a bow n arrow shot through him in Hancock County, IL (my county). I had them shut him up in their garage where our aco helped catch. We took him straight to my vet clinic where he was sedated to remove the arrow. It is about 18" long steel tipped target arrow. It is bow season here and I can only surmise some asshole was using him as target practice. I have reported it to the police and plan on running adds offering a reward for information and conviction of the person/s who are responsible for this. He is resting comfortably now at my vets office after also getting some fluids, having the wound flushed and getting mega doses of antibiotics. I have no idea what to do with him now, he is going to need continued care so the wound heals and he is, as you can imagine, pretty scared and fearful. I NEED help! If anyone has any suggestions or can help with his vetting charges or donate toward the reward I plan to offer, please contact me at westhancockk9@mchsi.com We have set up a PayPal account westhancockk9@mchsi.com or you can contact my vet clinic directly at the Hancock Vet Clinic 217-847-3911. I would be extremely grateful for your help!!! THANK YOU!! Anissa~WHCR
