I always wondered why somebody doesn't do something about that. Then I realized I was somebody.

PLEASE CIRCULATE!

Please help two nice kitties who could be euthanized for ACCIDENTALLY biting someone while eating treats. Read their story from volunteer Lucy below:

I volunteer at
the South LA shelter, and I am looking for a foster home(s) for three "rescue only" cats currently at South LA.
Their story: The cats (pictures and impound numbers below) seem like really sweet and calm cats, but unfortunately this past Saturday, while I was feeding them treats, one of the cats bit not only the treat, but also my finger. Even more unfortunate is that I don't know which of the two cats bit. As a result, both "suspects" are currently in observation for 10 days, which is protocol as a rabies precaution. The cats were not at all aggressive, nor even food aggressive, and probably just inexperienced in distinguishing treat from finger. Nonetheless, according to shelter protocol, they are no longer up for adoption and are only available to be pulled by rescue groups.
Their review date is November 10, and if they aren't pulled, they likely will be euthanized, so I am hoping to find someone who can pull them and foster them by this coming Tuesday. In addition, there is a third cat who is pair-bonded with one of the "suspects," and I'm hoping to find someone who can foster her along with her "rescue only" buddy.
Please contact me with any questions or feel free to contact the shelter directly (and let me know if you pull them).
Thank you in advance for any help you can offer! I really hope I can find these sweet kitties a foster home.
