Hello animal lovers and rescuer friends . . .

It is getting more and more painful for me to walk through the shelters and see the kinds of things I am seeing. I can't even save all of the cockers there are so many.

I made this short video based on a recent visit to the Lancaster Shelter and it is just an example of what has become the norm at most shelters I am going to.

Please spread the message . . . post it on Craig's List, Twitter it, Facebook it . . . email it. Ask people to educate those whom might be considering going to the pet store to buy their holiday puppy this year and instead consider going to a shelter or at least adopting from a rescue group instead. It is one thing to lecture people about not buying from backyard breeders, but my hope is that the video footage will speak to them on an emotional level that no one can explain with words?

I do think that not all people buying from pet stores and backyard breeders are bad people, a lot of them are just people who have no idea and no one has told them there are lovely animals in the shelters, just waiting for homes.

I hope this can spread far and wide . . .anywhere to get the message out. The video footage speaks for itself. Even if more rescuers can consider driving up to Lancaster, it would help out a lot. I know it is far to go . . . but this shelter is really in a crisis right now.

Thank you so much!

Much love,
Cathy and the cockers
