Want to increase your 2009 tax deductions and save an animal too?
Consider helping these needy animals with an annual, tax-deductible donation.

In our innaugural year, Louie's Legacy has made great strides toward helping animals in need across the country. We have built networks of volunteers from New York to Texas, Ohio to Georgia, and to them we owe our success! Read the stories below of the kinds of animals we're helping and decide for yourself if you'd like to take part in our projects by donating before the end of 2009! Your contribution will help ensure that we can save many more animals like these in 2010 and beyond.
You've heard all about Sparticus' badly broken leg...
$2,040 raised, only $460 to go!
Help us reach our goal for Sparticus' bone surgery. Thanks to Friends of Animal Rescue for their support, and to all of you who have already contributed. In case you forgot, here is a little about our Sparticus:

Sparticus: This exceptionally tempered American Bulldog/Pit mix is truly a gentle giant. Sparticus had been returned to the Brooklyn ACC kill shelter by uncaring adopters because they did not want to have to pay his "medical bills." We didn't really know what that meant at the time, and neither did the shelter...
Gina has 200 fans on Facebook. How about you?
Watch our emaciated, senior German Shepherd girl as she recovers.
Gina: Gina was slated to die on the morning of December 15th, the culmination of her 8 years on this planet ending in cold anonymity on the blunt metal of a shelter vet's table. Thanks to the pleading of a shelter volunteer and to a foster stepping up at the last minute, Louie's Legacy was able to pull the dog from the euthanasia list...Help this URGENT hound mommy and her unborn babies
This sweet hound girl was an owner surrender to an overcrowded rural Ohio pound where spaying and neutering is nearly unheard of. She and her Hound-Husky Mix babies (who are yet unborn) run the risk of losing their lives to disease or euthanasia in a pound where adoptions are low and hounds like this sweet mama are a "dime a dozen."We learned the hard way that saving a mommy and babies is very costly. To contribute to the cost of saving, vetting, feeding and otherwise caring for this little family until all are adopted, please click here.
These are just some of the causes we've taken up. To see more of the animals we've helped, we invite you to visit our website at www.louieslegacy.org. Our unique approach to animal rescue in varied locations helps us to save more animals more efficiently, wherever they are in need. Thank you for your continued support of our advocacy for these silent victims.
