I'm a friendly, talkative guy searching for a new forever indoor home where I will be showered with lots of love and attention. My previous owners grandchildren were allergic to me and now I have to search for a new forever home. I'm an indoor guy and would like to remain that way. I'm use to a covered litterbox that is cleaned daily. Cat dancers, lasers and crinkle toys are my favorite things to play with. Loud noises scare me. Please provide me with a scratching post to stretch my paws on and a kitty condo to climb on. Brush me often to keep me looking handsome. I need to go to a canine free home as I have a history of not getting along with them. Introduce me slowly to new people and pets. Ask about Soft Paws before taking me home today.

My previous owner had too many pets and could no longer care for me. I'm a friendly and affectionate lady searching for a forever INDOOR home. My alone time is spent exploring the house or sleeping at the top of the closet. When I'm hungry or want attention I will meow. I am use to having an uncovered litterbox that is cleaned on a daily basis. I get along well with other cats and dogs but tend to hide from them until we get to know each other. Provide me with safe kitty toys to bat around and a scratching post to stretch my paws on. I will need a slow introduction to new people and pets. Ask about Soft Paws before taking me home today.

A good samaritan found me on the streets injured and scared. He brought me to the Humane Society to receive medical treatment and then find a forever home. The Second Chance team discovered I was dehydrated, lethargic and had a broken sternum. I have spent the past two months in a foster home recovering from my injuries!

My alone time is spent waiting patiently for my human companion(s) to come home. When I want attention I will moew! I have been using a deep, uncovered litterbox that is cleaned on a daily basis. I have one thing that I like to play with and that is STRING!!! You will have to find me a scratching post that I like. I have only tried carpet ones and haven't cared for them. Maybe I would like a sisal rope or cardboard scratching post. Clip my nails often and ask about Soft Paws before taking me home today! I will need a slow introduction to new people and pets. Give me plenty of time to adjust to my new surroundings!!

Just like many other people, my previous owner lost her job and home. She brought me to the Humane Society so I could find a new forever home where I will be kept safely indoors.

I'm a lovable and friendly guy that is wonderful with children! My alone time is spent playing with my toys, exploring the house or relaxing on the sofa. I have been using a covered litterbox that is cleaned on a daily basis. Purina kitten chow is what I have been eating in the past. Furry mice and balls are my favorite toys to play with. I had a 5' carpet kitty condo in my previous home that I would climb on and stretch my nails on. Brush me often to keep me looking handsome and clip my nails at least once a month. I will need a slow introduction to new people and pets. Ask about Soft Paws before taking me home today.

and make his smile last for ever - he just wants to be someones best
friend)

she will be adopted within the first 30 minutes of a mobile or an
adoption event) (TO DIE FOR)

AWESOME dog - we really saved the BEST FOR LAST!)

of hope, love and attention

immediately)

PERFECT!) sweetest soul
- 3936650 (#37 on our list) (purebred boxer that is a great dog but
needs training and structure)

- 3937018 (#40 on our list) (gorgeous 9 month old Jindo Mix - a dog SUPER MODEL)
- 3938074 (#58 on our list) (beautiful shepherd mix that was an owner
surrender) (this is a fantastic family dog that will be a model dog
for a family)
- 3938463 (#67 on our list) (BLACK LAB - enough said!)
- 3938550 (#68 on our list) (7 month old brindle mastiff mix puppy)
such a wonderful dog and will win many beauty contests. She already
knows commands and loves people and dogs - She belongs on the cover of
K9 Glamour and does not belong in the shelter.

Imagine even if you could just save ONE . . .

Please meet Siam (ID#A1010870) and Silver (ID#A1010869) currently REDLISTED FOR OVER 1 WEEK at the South LA Animal Shelter... Siam is a beautiful 10 year old lynx point/Siamese Mix and his brother Silver is a Gorgeous 8 year old Russian Blue. These already neutered brothers are the sweetest boys you will ever meet, however, they are getting more and more depressed the longer they wait for their new home at the shelter. When I first met them, Siam continuously rubbed his head against the bars of his cage and purred away as I pet him. Silver sat across the way chatting to the both of us for our attention :) Well, a week later, they are still as sweet as can be, but seem much more depressed, as they took longer to respond to my attention, but, of course eventually did, purring away at the much needed attention. Hoping to make them more at ease, we moved them into the same cage so at least they would have each other during this scary and confusing time at the shelter. Please help find these brothers a new home...they and I will be forever grateful!
If you can help Siam and Silver, please contact the South LA Animal Shelter at 213-485-0117 or 213-485-0119. Ask to speak with "Kennels" and give them their animal ID numbers (Siam (ID#A1010870) and Silver (ID#A1010869)). You may also put your name and phone number into the computer as an "Interested Party," which should keep them safe for 24 hours and give you time to go to the shelter at 3612 11th Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90018 (off Jefferson and Crenshaw) and rescue them! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR HELP!!! Any help Crossposting would also be very much appreciated!

Warmest Regards,

Stacy, Silver, and Siam!!! xoxo

Angela Robert the Director St. Charles Parish Animal Control called to say this dog is safe. Angie wants either a qualified adopter or rescuer to step up for him. He will be on Petfinder after he is groomed on Wednesday. Please contact Angie at ARobert@StCharlesGov.net to inquire about Rex.

Rex is about 1-1/2 years old. Angie says he is definitely purebred. He has moderate Heartworm and started treatment Monday which has been sponsored. He is an unneutered owner-surrender; he was kept in the backyard and given up because he was destructive in the backyard. His owners named him Rex. He has been temperament tested, shows no aggression, loves humans, and likes tummy rubs. He is not housebroken nor does he know any commands yet but Angie loves him and wants the best home in the world for him. He actually has a black tongue although this photo makes it look pink. He is not going to be euthanized therefore if you are a rescuer or adopter who would like to speak to Angie about Rex, please contact her!!!!!

SHEBA NEEDS YOUR HELP AGAIN

Sanctuary Animal Refuge in Clewiston, FL has agreed to take Sheba into their sanctuary where she will finally, for once in her life, know what love and kindness is. We thought she could be transported this weekend but after her trip to the vet today she can't be transported. She is very high heartworm positive and the vet says that she probably wouldn't survive the stress of the transport. She needs to get heartworm treatment here in Shreveport, LA before she can go to the sanctuary. We've gotten doantions that have paid for her medical stuff up until now, in fact we have $37 left in donations after her trip to the vet today. The heartworm treatment is going to be $527 so we need $490 in donations so she can get her treatment. I know some of you have donated to her already and if you have then thank you very much. If anyone can donate towards her treatment you can paypal donations to our website, http://www.animalwelfareinc.org/ and put that it is for Sheba. Remember, there is no donation too small. Please cross post to anyone who you think might be able to help.

Hoping you can consider donating or passing the request along. Sheba is a very sweet Akita whose eyes are gone or damaged. This was Rebecca's earlier message about Sheba:
Sheba's life up until now has been, I'm imagining, a living hell. She is 7-8 years old and has lived her entire life in an abusive home. Someone discovered her and took her away from there - her previous owner is in jail for aggravated cruelty, charges which Caddo Parish Animal Services in Shreveport, LA, have brought against him. They literally saved her life. They have said she can now go to a rescue. I have never seen an animal that has endured what she must have be as sweet as she is. She has no eyes and the vet says they were probably gouged out. Her fur is matted in spots - she is probably going to need to be shaved down. She licks all over your hand, begging for attention. She sits in her run at the shelter and howls the most mournful howl I've ever heard.

I don't know how many more years she has left, but doesn't she deserve the chance to know what happiness and kindness is? She is kennel trained and shows no food aggression at all. Please, can anyone help her? I've attached pictures of her that I got today. I will try and get better ones tomorrow.

Subject: NOW WITH VIDEO & $100 donation: LA, CA: DARLING SMILEY CYRUS, THE GENTLE GIANT, WHOSE TIME IS NEAR: SLA:

Yesterday I spent a long time with Smiley, whom some of the SLA volunteers renamed Smiley Cyrus. This wonderful big girl is now at high risk of euthanasia since she has a runny nose and she was already greenlisted for time and space.

Smiley Cyrus is just a gentle, sweet big girl. She constantly gets compliments about her nature and how she looks because she is really just gorgeous.

I shot some short video sequences so you can see exactly what I mean. Smiley isn't feeling too great because she has the sniffles like so many of the animals in the shelter. It's so sad because what is a very minor, easily curable ailment ends up costing them their lives.

Please click on the links below to watch the videos. They are a bit dark but you can still see everything you need to see about this lovely dog. Her sweetness and calmness shine through in the videos. Please be sure to check them out:

Smiley reminds me of my own darling Sadie, whom I call "the zen dog" because she is just so placid and peaceful.

ANYONE WHO ADOPTS OR RESCUES SMILEY WILL BE TAKING A REALLY SPECIAL GIRL.

She is in a cage with two other dogs--a rottie and a pitbull--who are on the hyper side. I'm concerned they may turn on her because they were all over her when I put her back in her cage. So many dogs get attacked, it's just horrible.

I DON'T KNOW HOW MUCH LONGER SMILEY CAN SURVIVE NOW THAT SHE HAS THREE STRIKES AGAINST HER: TIME, SPACE AND NOW THE SNIFFLES.

PLEASE GET HER OUT BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE.

Smiley's impound number is A1009522. She's only a year old. She weighs 82lbs and is not yet spayed.

SMILEY IS AVAILABLE NOW AT A GREATLY DISCOUNTED RATE TO LAAS NEW HOPE PARTNERS.

SLA direct lines: 213-485-0117, 0119
(Phones answered 24/7; please get the name of the person you talk to.)

Thanx.
