South Los Angeles Shelter---SOS---many redlisted pups!

This link shows the many dogs in danger at South Los Angeles. Please save one or more if you can from this huge list of dogs in danger:

There is a great need to rescue/adopt ASAP at all Los Angeles shelters, but this one received a extraordinarily large number of impounds on Tuesday and therefore some of the old-timers are getting redlisted (slated for imminent killing).

Seven Points is a city in Henderson and Kaufman Counties in the U.S. state of Texas. The population was 1,145 at the 2000 census.
The city is named for an intersection where seven roads converge.

Not the best pictures in the world, BUT I think "Sam" is a purebred Lab! PLEASE, can someone find room somewhere for this guy or crosspost. What a handsome guy, reminds me of a "yellow" version of my FAT Captain Jack! And, no, I have NO idea where Seven Points, Texas is.

I have posted Sam several times, but the poor boy is still waiting for a home, or for a rescue to offer a foster home. Sam is a good boy, he is 4 yrs old, loves all people and all dogs, he is a yellow lab mix. He is in excellent health, except a little chubby. He has all shots, he is neutered, and is up to date on heartworm prevention and flea prevention.
This sweet boy had to be boarded as one of the other dogs was attacking him.
I have tried everything, and yet, though I always seem to find help for strays, this sweetie is still waiting. His foster mom, Judy, is willing to transport him anywhere, pay for anything he needs, as long as he is rehomed as an inside dog, yes is trained, and given the family he is so patiently waiting for. I know he was a little depressed the other day and I know he is needing out of the vets quickly. Nothing against the vet , he just doesn't understand why he can't go home.
These are current pictures. And, I cannot change the size, I tried at someone request.
Please, consider him, if you have room. NO shelters, unless you operate by no kill rules and foster homes. Judy has offered a donation even to a group who will pick him up, or buy dog food for the foster, whatever it takes.
Please let me know if you can.

Dallas TX: Need help to trap, neuter, place 5 feral cats

Cheryl Lang wrote 4/29:

I have been contacted by Fannie Mae – we’ve all heard of them lately – and they are assisting an 86 year old elderly woman in fixing up her home by providing time, supplies and sweat with no expense to her. Part of that project includes residing the house but currently there are 6 cats living in the crawlspace that need to be cared for before the project can continue. The elderly woman wants to keep only one cat so all cats need to be trapped and neutered but 5 need to be placed with another colony if that is possible. I am looking for someone in the Dallas area to do this for us. We would be willing to pay all expenses including time, spay/neuter, trap rentals, etc. but we are located in Houston and don’t have those resources in Dallas. Can you refer me to anyone that can help? Thanks so much for your time.

FOSTER/HOME NEEDED FOR MOM AND SON GOLDEN RETRIEVER MIXES ASAP!!!.

I rescued four year old Kyle and his mom Dutchess (5 years old) from a life of living in a concrete back yard with very little human contact. They have been with wonderful fosters for the past few months and are now used to being inside a home, sleeping in cosy dog beds and are housebroken. They love walks and dog parks and of course, each other. Kyle is sometimes shy and Dutchess a little wary of strangers at first but both dogs are beautiful and sweet and desperate for a loving forever home. The foster just informed me that due to a personal situation they need to give up fostering and have given me until Thursday of next week!

PLEASE CIRCULATE AND CROSS POST.

Anyone who might be able to foster them or perhaps adopt them both should contact me at 310 880-3861

Or email me at linzi@linziglass.com

Hi Everyone, I would like to update you on Kyle and his dogs. They are all back home and doing well. Kyle is still recovering, but having his dogs with him has been the best medicine. Everyone who has reached out to assist is so very appreciated, these animals would not of had the care if it wasn’t for all the people that were there. Kyle truly appreciates this, Thank You.

If any rescue can please save even 1 of these it would be great.

The 1ST dog is a sweet very pregnant pit bull mix

The 2ND is a sweet brown pit mama with 3 pups

The 3RD is a rottie/sharpei mix with 6 new pups.

the 4TH is a court case dog that was finally released. Her owner beat her and used her as bait for his 3 other dogs. She remarkably loves people but unfortunately is very tense and uneasy around other dogs now.

These girls were to be put to sleep today but we got an extension until Saturday evening. The adoption fee is only $35 for each dog or pup to an approved rescue group. They are at the L.A. To: phillipg@animaladvocatesalliance.org

Dear all, a number of the dogs from our most recent Baldwin Park list
were adopted over the last couple of days in large part as a result of
your amazing work and the great work of our volunteers at adoption
events and networking. However, there are many left in need of rescue
and they are no longer safe. Attached is the list of those still
remaining (the complete updated list reflective of adoptions/rescues
is available at
http://animaladvocatesalliance.org/category/adopt-now/). For ease of
reference, I have also separately provided descriptions and attached
photos of just a few of the dogs still looking for homes but please
review the attached "word" document for a complete list. As many of
you already know, the so called "bully breeds" are not permitted to
attend off site adoption events, pursuant to county rules, no matter
how wonderful they are (working on hopefully changing that policy) so
they have even less of a chance of getting out so please do your best
in networking the wonderful staffs and pits on this list (starting
with Francesca).

As always, thank you for your continued support and attention.

A3944284 "Francesca" This four month old black and white female pit
bull puppy came into the shelter as a stray on March 8th. Francesca
is very playful and energetic, she is super-friendly with people and
gets along great with other dogs. She weighs approximately 25 pounds
and will probably grow up to be about 50 pounds. She will make a
wonderful addition to a family with an active lifestyle! She is in
Kennel 224. GREAT DOG--NO BEHAVIOR ISSUES!

dumped at the shelter on March 28th. He is scared at being at the
shelter and is starved for attention. Pitufo is a well- behaved 8
pound boy who just wants to be cuddled. Quiet and calm, this little
guy just wants to sit in your lap and give kisses. He will be a
phenomenal companion for senior citizens and will also be good in an
apartment environment. Pitufo is in Kennel 214.

A3952474 "Marshall" is a tiny three year old brown male Chihuahua who
came into the shelter as a stray on March 30th. He weighs only 5
pounds and loves to be held. He is very timid and scared in the
shelter, but once he is outside he becomes quite loving. Marshall
will make a wonderful pet for senior citizens or adults living in an
apartment situation. Marshall is currently in Kennel 215.

adoption. Very sweet and mellow, she has obviously been well cared
for. She is gentle on the leash and has been well trained. She is
extremely shy and frightened at being in the shelter, but once Sherry

at the shelter by his owner on April 16th and is available immediately
for adoption. This beautiful boy has a thick coat of soft,
toffee-colored fur that makes him look more like a giant teddy bear
than a dog! Oso is incredibly docile, calm, and sweet. He loves
people and other dogs and does very well on a leash. He weighs
approximately 75 pounds and would be a fantastic pet for families or
seniors living in private homes or even apartments. Oso is in Kennel
219.

A3762250 "Fifi" is a stunning two-year-old spayed female White
Shepherd who was abandoned by her owner at the shelter on April 15th.
This 60 pound girl is friendly and sweet toward people, but is
selective with other dogs and would probably do best as an only dog.
With some leash training, Fifi will make a wonderful walking or hiking
companion. She is best suited for families in private homes.

A3949692 "Dublin" is a 3-year-old male Chihuahua mix who came to the
shelter as a stray on March 22nd. Weighing around 12 pounds, this
little guy is frightened and depressed at being in the shelter. He is
timid at first, but warms up as soon as he is out of his kennel. He
loves to be held and is friendly and sweet toward people. Dublin is a
mellow little guy who will flourish in a secure, loving home. He is
well-suited to an apartment or a private home.

A3950604 "Kimono" is a 1-year-old spayed female Staffordshire
Terrier/American Bulldog mix who came into the shelter as a stray on
March 24th, and is now available for adoption. She is sweet and
submissive and has beautiful, unique eye coloring—one brown, one
ice-blue! This medium energy girl is great with other dogs and loves
people. She knows how to "sit" on command and is good on the leash.

puppy walks very well on a leash and will make an outstanding family
pet for people living in private homes.

low-energy girl who make a perfect companion for families living in

Subject: FW: cat at my work - needs home ASAP
Attached is a picture of a male cat that showed up at my work about 4 months ago. He was completely emaciated…close to dying. He was nursed back to health. My company agreed to let him be “the company cat” until recently. A few strays showed up and are giving him a bad reputation. They are doing things and he is suffering the consequences by now needing another home. He is neutered and has had his Rabies shot. He is very friendly, uses the litter box, enjoys his canned food along with his hard food and enjoys sitting next to whoever will let him. We are looking for an inside home for him. Please circulate to your friends, family, etc. If they are interested they can contact me at:

Savannah, TN - Blind Therapy dog seeks a forever home!

Please Cross Post!

Hello Everyone!

My name is Jobe and, yes unfortunately, I am blind but, I am well adjusted and healthy. I am one of the most calm, loving, gentle and well behaved souls you will ever meet. I have no fears nor aggressions, not of people, canes, crutches, wheel chairs, jerky movements, loud noises, other animals, children, etc. I am neutered and housetrained, love to go for leashed walks, and rides in the car. My world revolves around those such things as well as shaking hands and "greeting my public," being petted, good food, a soft warm bed and lotsa love.

I am a big ol' boy {80+ lbs}, and just the right height to easily be petted by all. I do not climb or jump or chew. I am cat and dog friendly. In short. I am perfect.

Please will someone take me in and love me? I would be happiest in a home where I will get lots of petting and slow activities to enrich my life and that of others. I do require regular brushing.

I need a PERMANENT HOME, where I am not going to be passed around.

Subject: Fw: PTS list for Merced, CA shelter - Urgent

These dogs at the Merced shelter have been there too long and they are
getting very crowded. These dogs are all very nice dogs and it would
be a shame for them to be euthanized. They are quickly running out of
time and desperately need rescue. Most of the dogs on this list have
already been spayed/neutered but have not gotten adopted. All will be
fully vaccinated including rabies and we will be happy to transport
them to safety.

This e-mail account is currently experiencing problems, so DO NOT
REPLY to this e-mail if you can help or have questions, I will not get
the e-mail. Please respond to me at danadals@yahoo.com or call me at
(209) 606-3045.

If pics did not go through, please let me know at the above e-mail and
I will send pics to you directly.

PLEASE help save the lives of these dogs......

Thanks,
Dama

053349 - listed as pit mix female. 9 mos., 40 lbs. I am not sure
this is a correct breed description, but I am not sure what she is
mixed with! Those are some BIG ears! She is a very cute girl. She
came into the shelter in pretty rough shape and very thin, but she has
gained weight and looks much better. She is a very sweet girl and
staff have asked me to make a special plea to get her to rescue where
she can begin a new life where she will be well cared for and never go
hungry again.

Janey Gaye - Pit female. 1 yr., 45 lbs. Janey is already SPAYED.
She is a very nice sweet girl with a beautiful blue/gray coat.
Extremely nice with other dogs!

Shakera Brazil - Shepherd mix female. 1 yr., 40 lbs. Shakera is
already SPAYED. She is a real sweetheart with a very nice
disposition. She is also great on leash.

Spring Board - Terrier mix female. 1 yr., 25 lbs. She is is a young,
happy girl who has a lively disposition. She has a great personality.

Clint Flag - Am staff mix male. 7 mos., 40 lbs. Clint is already
NEUTERED. Clint is a beautiful dog with a great personality and is
very friendly.

Pete Baxter - Am Staff male. 2 yrs., 65 lbs. Pete is already
NEUTERED. Pete is an awesome dog. He loves to play, but at the same
time loves to get his tummy rubbed. Pete loves to give kisses and
actually thinks he should be a lap dog.

Richie Luther - Boxer mix male. 1 1/2 yrs., 45 lbs. Richie is
already NEUTERED. He is a very nice dog with a friendly disposition.

Brittany Cooper - Cattledog mix female. 1 1/2 yrs., 40 lbs.
Brittany is already SPAYED. She is a great dog, calm. quiet, friendly
and well mannered.

Miss Bea Haven - Am Staff female. 11 mos., 35 lbs. Miss is already
SPAYED. Another awesome dog. She is sweet, fun loving and playful
and one of her favorite things is to get her tummy rubbed. Not to
mention that she is a real cutie!

053160 - Border Collie/Cattledog mix male. 3 yrs., 45 lbs. He is
already NEUTERED. This poor boy has been overlooked and has not had
his pics taken yet for Petfinder, though he is one of the dogs that
has been there the longest. He is a very nice dog and desperately
needs to get to a rescue since he is not yet on Petfinder.

Berry Hawk - Aussie/Am staff mix male. 6 mos., 30 lbs. How cute is
this dog?!?!?! Berry is playful but is very well mannered for a
puppy. In addition, he has the most beautiful blue eyes you have ever
seen.
