We are a private, no kill rescue in SC and can help dogs in our area, but after seeing the post of how many good dogs Murry County had, we opened our hearts and our doors to include them into our program.
However ALL dogs came to us WITH KENNEL COUGH and extremely thin, including Anabella the mother of the new born pups. Leeza the white Boxer has some hair loss and scabs, we will need to get a skin scrape for her on Monday.
Rizzo the big American Bulldog tested POSITIVE FOR HEARTWORMS. Estimate for this treatment alone is $500 from our vet.
The shelter asked us if we still wanted the dogs as they were coughing. We could have refused them and let them be pts, but we committed to them. When we found out that Rizzo was HW + we could have refused him and sent him back as well, but we accepted him. So I ask you to please help cross post for donations for us as we will have a very large vet bill for treating the illnesses the dogs came with, yet we still have to have them spayed/neutered and vaccinated.
