Thank you all who made this giant Devore transport happen for 80 LUCKY DOGS!! Pat, Patti, Cheryl, Melissa, Connie of Beagles & Buddies, and Rob, plus one more driver (I do not know his name!!)--what a team!! And all the amazing donors!!! There are too many donors to name here!
Next time we will get more pics!! Connie of Beagles & Buddies provided a very necessary safe haven for these dogs where they waited for a few days for their transport which took place this morning. Pat was doing all the pulls and shelter work. Cheryl arranged the rescues and final destinations. Patti L posts tirelessly all the pics and pleas...Melissa helped coordinate donations/crates, etc.....And Rob and an unnamed driver are now driving these dogs North to safety!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The babies are on their way and have a long road ahead...
As I reflect back on today I really am grateful to all of you for contributing to save these dogs lives. We could not have done it with out you! I got a lot of I wish I could give mores and I need you all to know that we give what we can so we can keep giving! I walked in my house a few minutes ago... after 10 hours of loading, cleaning, walking, sweating and crying to my 8 happy dogs. I hugged them all and told them how glad I was that they will never have to go through being at the shelter and shoved in a crate not knowing what is next...
Each of these 80 dogs let me put bordetella up their noses, check their ears, bathe them and then literally put them in crates while other dogs were barking. Each of these 80 dogs kissed me and looked at me with a little fear, a lot of confusion but they knew they were safe. Each of these dogs would have been killed and they all were so sweet, so adoptable... What is going on out there. I will do this again and again. But how can we let people be aware, make them understand how precious these lives are...
No dog should have to go through this... But they are safe. Thank you and I will be working on the next big transport :) Lets keep saving them and keep fighting till their are no more suffering...
Melissa
P.S. Sorry there are not better pictures.. Just too much to do :)
