CONCERNING HALFWAY HOME PET ADOPTIONS IN KCMO and Friends of Halfway Home Pet Adoptions:

1)  Please join us for CHARITY BINGO at Hamburger Mary's (101 Southwest Blvd KCMO

2)  If you or others would like to be included on the new Urgent CATS email we're starting (as we've been neglecting the felines in need at Halfway Home), please send a quick email to adoption.team@hotmail.com.

3)  Volunteer training is this Saturday at 10am - We need MANY more volunteers in order to be able to walk all of the dogs that are now overflowing each day. If you can even spare an hour or two each week, please join us at orientation so you can then volunteer any day(s) of the week your schedule allows.

4) Finally, the KCMO shelter is completely BEYOND CAPACITY!! So many animals are being DUMPED each day that they can't keep up! We have almost 40 dogs more than we are normally supposed to hold and need rescue assistance NOW!!!. If we don't get dogs moved, we will have no other choice but to put dogs down for space!!!!  I am begging rescue groups, potential adopters and fosters to come through so some dogs can go to safety!!  There are so many wonderfully sweet dogs at the shelter right now  waiting for YOU and your acquaintances to save them!!  BIOS AND MORE INFO can be seen at www.HalfwayHomePets.com

SEE PHOTO:  Please help these Shar Peis. They are at the KCMO shelter and it is not the place for them! They where dumped here by someone who "CLAIMED" they found them. I'm sure these dogs where owned by the family who dropped them off.

They seem to be around 2-3yrs old. Both, as you can see, have a skin problem, but seem pretty happy.  We would like to keep them together, they really love each other.
