Brooklyn NYC NY: Extremely urgent. Pug A889649 to die evening of 3-1 unless rescued

The contact is the shelter. He needs to be rescued TODAY by a New Hope partner (on shelter's approved list of rescuers)

He needs extensive medical attention. There is a Facebook thread discussing him but so far nobody pulling him from the shelter  :-(

QAR. No change in condition from previously described. Bladder expressed. Will need further work-up at private clinic and possibly wheels on hind
QARH - no change in condition

- minimal ability to walk on rear legs - unable to urinate on own


- bladder easily expressed


- r/o spinal injury - disk dz, infect/inflamm. vs other


- rads taken but poor quality due to movement -- no obvious trauma -- rec' sedate and retake

EENT - NSOU, clear AU, severe dental disease


H/L - NM, HR 100R, RUAS, eupneic


Abd - SNP, large bladder easily expressed on gentle palpation


(dog reportedly came in wearing a diaper)


UG - MI


MSI - ambu but very weak and ataxic in hindlimbs, severe muscle atrophy dorsally and hind limbs, CP deficits RH>LH, no obvious back/neck pain


A: Geritric


presumptive spinal disorder with neurologic impairment, urine retention
