Please check out Bently, a lovely Shih Tzu mix that needs immediate placement. Bently is in foster undergoing treatment for kennel cough but his foster mom cannot keep him. Please see the email from her below describing what a wonderful dog he is! If anyone can take Bently into your group, transport can be arranged. Bently is highly adoptable and just needs to get over his URI. Please call asap!

Email from foster mom to volunteer coordinator:
Hi Daria -
I'm hoping that since I didn't hear from you that no news is good news and I don't have half a tree in my living room!
Bentley is such an amazing dog! I'll send an email to Brittany so she can update his profile a little (for instance, he can entertain himself by throwing a toy & running after it; he is EXCELLENT in the car; he doesn't beg for food at the table - I could go on & on...) I'll also post some more pics later.
I am staying at my parents house until tomorrow morning, but then i've got to get back to work. I thought I had lined up another foster situation for him, but she doesn't feel ready (she lost her dog a few months ago). I can't have pets in my apartment and I don't think he can stay at the store with his kennel cough. But, of course, I'm in love with him and don't want him to have to go back to the shelter. I have no doubt he will be easily adopted, but in the meantime I'm trying to figure out short term solution for him that keeps him out of the shelter. Any ideas? If all else fails I guess I could throw myself on the mercy of my landlord or just try to hide Bentley there for a few days (among his many stellar qualities he doesn't really bark and he's Wee Wee pad trained). I could also post something on the Cornerstone Facebook page but I have a feeling that would open up the floodgates of potential adoptive families so I wanted to check with you first.
Thanks for all your help and for the amazing work you guys did though this entire Irene drama.
