This cat came in supposedly as a stray with her friend a white cat named Bianca who has since been adopted. This cat has been given two names over time, one is Isabella and one is Melanie. She has inspired more than one photo thread on Facebook. Especially with such a poor photograph in the database, and especially as a long-time resident at a high-kill shelter, she is in great danger of being put to death soon unless someone rescues or adopts her right away.

Disclaimer: We make every effort to keep this information current. Our pages are updated in real time, which means photographs come off of our site when an animal is returned to its owner, etc.
Due to the large number of animals received each day, it is very important that you visit the shelter in person so that you can identify your missing pet. Animals come into the shelters daily, so you will need to visit the shelter as often as possible. Not all of our FOUND animals will appear on this site, i.e. too aggressive to photograph or injured animals which are at private veterinary offices for treatment.
If you find your missing pet, it is absolutely critical that you come into the shelter to claim your pet IMMEDIATELY. Please do not leave e-mail regarding your lost pet. These messages are not answered 24 hours a day.
If we find a missing pet that is wearing a license tag or identification tag, the animals photograph may not appear on this site. Any animal found by this department wearing a license or identification tag, is immediately held for the owner while we work to locate that owner. We do whatever we can to get tagged pets back to their owners. This includes telephone calls to the owner, letters, visits to the home address, etc. Many times the animal is returned to the owner by our field officers without ever entering the animal shelter. To ensure that our found animals are returned to the actual pet owner, it is important that you bring copies of adoption and/or vaccination records, photographs, etc. We always verify pet owner records as a safeguard in making sure your pet gets back to the right home.
Please keep in mind when viewing our photographs that some of the breed description information has been provided by people bringing these pets to us.
