Subject: Beautiful Beau needs an active home good with kids

Beau is a beautiful dog who needs to be with someone who can give him a lot of exercise and things to do. Current family loves him but he is a young dog not doing well with a small space. He has herding instincts and would do well with a dog his own age to play with.  Wonderful family dog, good with kids.

Subject: Beau needs a home

Beau is a one year old male lab/heeler mix breed.  He was acquired from a pound.  He is nuetered, chipped and current on ALL vaccinations and licenses and rabies.  We brought him into our home with our senior lab.  He quickly became dominant over the older dog and herded the lab all day and night.  It was exhausting for the older lab.  We tried to keep Beau busy with walks, toys, puzzle treats and games of fetch but he never tired.  Beau is very attentive to smell. He holds his nose to the ground at all times, and "works" an area like a hunting dog.  He also herds and does best when in a space with a lot of room to roam.  Our backyard is roughly the size of a postage stamp suitable for the old lab, but not Beau who is driven to herd and work all day while the lab lounges.  Beau has visited several ranches and was WONDERFUL there.  He runs and hunts and lounges on front porches.  It makes him so happy and is like poetry in motion to watch!

We re-homed Beau to a small farm a month ago but they expressed that he barked at the housekeeper when she came around the corner in the house, and growled when he was eating from his food bowl and someone approached him (granted...Beau only requires about 30 seconds to eat!).  They expressed that he did NOT show aggression to the primary family but that they had "concerns".  We took Beau back into our home.  I can tell you this about Beau with absolute certainty, He is a perfect gentleman on leash- never pulls or drags.  He is sweet, and submissive to humans.  He is attentive and loving.  He is crate trained and sleeps indoors at night.  He is GREAT with my two kids.  He was recently assessed for the search and rescue team...and the woman found him to be sweet, timid, and submissive.  NOT AGGRESSIVE!

I realize that I am party to a long list of mistakes, and am responsible for the fate of my helpless dog.  I wanted to provide him a better life, first by rescuing him, and then by surrendering him to a ranch/farm who later returned him to us after 2 weeks.  I implore you to please help me....even though you have no reason to.  Beau IS a good dog, he IS worthy of a forever home and I know he deserves a second chance for he has done NOTHING wrong.  I however, have caused him much grief.

Please find it in your heart to help this little guy.

Subject: TUX cat that desperately needs home before going to AC! Please facebook and forward!

Rescues, Vets, friends and family,
PLEASE CROSSPOST (King, NC) I Will transport if needed. Please post to Facebook if you can!
I live in King, NC. I am desperately trying to find a rescue, foster or permanent home for this beautiful male black and white (tuxedo) cat before he gets eaten by a coyote or taken to AC by the neighbor. I believe he is approximately 2 years old. He is very loving and affectionate and has done well with children and other cats (not sure about dogs). This cat has been abandoned and left behind by his previous owners. I've been caring for him at their old house on the weekends (when I do a route near the house) and I have another friend helping me feed throughout the week; but, she can no longer help either. The neighbor was supposed to help in feeding the cat but she has said she is going to call AC if I do not get him out of there because he brought a rat to her front porch and she was offended. Cats have less than a 1% chance of making it out of the Stokes County Shelter. I would take this little boy for myself if I did not already have too many cats and an extra disabled dog I am caring for right now. Personally, my vet told me I had too many and not to take in anymore. I hate to send this email for this plea when I know how many animals are in fosters or in rescues that are full to capacity. He is by himself and it is getting cold outside. He would be a great indoor cat. Please help me network this boy by printing a flyer at work, posting on Facebook and emailing friends, family (who may not be as overwhelmed as us rescuers) and other rescuers. If you can help or know of anyone that could help me save the life of this little boy, please contact me asap. You can reach me at (336) 971-9174 cell. We will pay for all vetting including FIV/FELUK testing and neutering for him if he finds a home. Please see attached pictures.
Thank you,
Sonya Snyder
