Max (Grey Tabby) and Zeus (Black Boy) were 3 in 1 tested today and passed with flying colors.  They were neutered, given their shots and microchipped.

The local chapter of Macon Purrs n Paws picked them up from my vet this afternoon and they will be placed in enclosed area in a large double holding pen for adoption.  We are hoping someone will adopt them together as they are quite attached to one another.  Also looking for inside home as they were certainly inside prior to being abandoned.  They were fine at my house even though they were quarantined in a large bathroom.  Litterbox trained and oh so sweet.
This rescue really saved the day because I had no place for them here and no one stepped up to foster or adopt.  It would be great if a donation could be sent to them.  Their paypal account is  Or you may send a check made payable to Macon Purrs n Paws to Jane Luckett, 8113 Upatoi Ridge, Upatoi, GA  31829. A tax deductible receipt will be mailed to you by the rescue.

This was truly a miracle for me because no one has ever stepped up to help me with cats in 20 years.  At one time we had 18 cats and 12 dogs.  Most of the kitties have crossed over the bridge now and lived a very good life with us but it sure would have been nice if they could have had their own family. I can't thank them enough for giving these young kitties a second chance.

12/27/12 POST:
12/27 Sadly there has been no rescue for Tabby. Meanwhile her very good friend the black cat has come out of hiding and he needs rescue too. I am anticipating photos of him will arrive soon.
12/23 POST:
Abandonment is a crime in most states.

Kitty is located about 25 miles east of Columbus.  People were evicted - left the kitty locked inside the trailer - we got him out.  He is very sweet and needs a warm place.  He has a small porch for shelter and food.  He is not neutered but if someone is willing to give him a safe place I will arrange for shots and neuter.  He appears to have been an inside cat and wants back in. PLEASE DO NOT REPLY TO EMAIL - CALL ME - AS I AM NOT ABLE TO CHECK EMAIL AS OFTEN AS I SHOULD WITH THE HOLIDAYS ON ME.
