...So, I just heard from Raymond, the young man who adopted Moses. He is absolutely in love with Moses and they are getting along very well. It’s a really good match as the guy recently moved to Houston to start a new job and was looking for a companion. His cousins live in Houston and have dogs as well. So, it looks like Moses will have some playmates. I really appreciate you ladies helping me. Your support, encouragement and ideas meant a lot to me and I want you to know how grateful I am. I’ll certainly remember you in the future if ever I find myself in this same situation. Best now and for a new year, Lori

There is still no rescuer or adopter for Moses. Please help if you can.

Appreciate it Liz...Did I mention we decided to go w/holistic heart worm treatments? I found traditional treatments have arsenic in them so I did research & decided to try it. The meds were shipped to me & he's been on them since 12/21. Two products - a bottle of liquid & a small vial of crystals. Easy to administer. Take care & I'll keep you posted as to his status.

...I recently stopped for gas at the Love's Travel Stop on 59 North at the Coldspring exit and found this very happy dog hanging around the parking lot. Literally, he was about to get run over by 18 wheeler trucks. I couldn't leave him because he was the happiest dog I've ever seen. Anyway, I named him Moses because he was lost and wondering... I found him on a Saturday afternoon and took him to BARC that Sunday. They called me the next day and told me he was high heartworm positive and that if I didn't adopt him, they'd euthanize him. Since I didn't want to see him euthanized, I adopted him. They kept him and did the usual shots, neuter, chip, etc. They also gave him the first dose of preventive heartworm meds, but he will need to stay on the preventative pills for the next 3 months then go in for the actual shots. ...
He's a short little guy; about 46 lbs and is approx. three years old. Currently, Moses is staying at my house, but I cannot keep him....
Other than getting treated for the heartworms, he is a very happy healthy dog who loves people, other dogs and loves being outside. Moses also loves to take car rides! He appears to be extremely committed to those who take care of him....
I know they're all special, but I truly believe Moses is going to bring so much joy to any family wishing to adopt a dog. Thank you for any assistance you can provide. Below is my contact number.

See the lengthy email below. This woman kept 'Moses' alive, but certainly can't keep him. She's had him vetted at BARC, & will pay for heartworm treatment. Sound like a ready-to-go deal for any rescue / foster!? Alternately, if a (501c) rescue steps up, we can arrange for FOB to pay for the HW treatment at BARC, hopefully allowing the woman to make her $$ donation to the rescue group!! Win-win all around!?
She's really going above & beyond to help Moses!...Good looking dog! Thanks for considering. Tim / FOB
