Subject: Urgent: Dog in Need of a Home

I am attempting to find someone who can take in our dog Pirate. He is a three or four year old dalmation/beagle mix.
He is extremely sweet and absolutely loved by our family, but when he has a problem with strangers that enter our yard. Yesterday he nipped an elderly woman that lives next door to us on the bottom when she came in our yard. It didn't draw blood, but there was a scratch and it scared her. He has done things like this before, but it had been over a year since it happened, and we previously attributed it to "puppy behavior". Our vet can vouch for his good behavior. He has been boarded before and has been praised by handlers.
The neighbor has requested that we get rid of him, and we are not in a position to argue.
He's very smart and needs a home that can give him the proper time and attention he deserves.
He is up to date on all his shots and vaccinations. He has an appointment later this week to get his yearly check-up. We are more than willing to cover the cost of the appointment, but we need a home for him ASAP.
We live near the border between St. Martin Parish and Iberia Parish off of HWY 182.
We will bring him anywhere that we need to if it means he will get a good home.

Please call me as soon as possible.
Thank you.
