UPDATE: LAST CALL ON SENIOR DOG - CHATTOOGA CO AC -SUMMERVILLEGA

Chattooga County AC - SummervilleGA has one dog that we need placement before Friday!!  The owner will not be reclaiming him.
He is a senior dog (my guess about 5-7 years old), NEUTERED, very sweet, and friendly, a little overweight, (but aren't we all).  He just cries when you go his kennel, and just needs a place to call home for his remaining years.
THIS DOG NOW HAS $100 SPONSORSHIP TO APPROVED RESCUE.
If you can help, please contact me at: carlean30753@gmail.com        (at     gmail.com).

SUMMERVILLE, GA - URGENT DOGS AT CHATTOOGA COUNTY AC!!

The shelter director is going on medical leave on 5/19 - for 2 weeks - I will not have access to the animals at the shelter during that time - so I am trying to empty the shelter out before she leaves so they won't have to euthanize.  My understanding is they will not be open to the general public during that time - so they will be picking up dogs from calls and 911 calls only.   I am hoping all the adoptable dogs are out of the shelter on Friday 5/16, so they won't have to make any decisions about euthanizing dogs during those 2 weeks.

Some of the dogs are SPAYED.   One is completely vetted, and not at the shelter.

We all know that any dog at this facility could be euthanized at any time, as it has happened in the past, so we are trying to get everyone moved out ASAP.
Owner surrenders can be euthanized at any time, so we are really trying hard to get them out.

The shelter will euthanize and put some of these dogs to sleep, if rescue or adoption is not found for them.  The shelter will not be holding dogs for months like they previously did, so when we say urgent, we do mean urgent - any of these dogs could be euthanized at any time.

If you have not pulled from us since September, we will need your DOA license from GA.  If you are from out of state, we need your 501c3 paperwork, vet reference, and a shelter reference. Either fax to the shelter at: 706-857-0676, or email Carlean at: carlean30753@gmail.com     (at    gmail.com).

If you could even save one of these dogs, please let us know immediately: 706-857-0679, or email: carlean30753@gmail.com       (at    gmail.com).

SADIE - SHE IS AN OWNER SURRENDER.  FEMALE; TURNED IN BECAUSE THE GUY WANTED A FEMALE PITBULL WITH A BIGGER HEAD FOR BREEDING.  SHE IS SUPER SWEET ABOUT A YEAR OLD; WAS JUST SHAKING UNTIL I GOT HER OUT AND SHE WARMED RIGHT UP.  BOBTAIL.  I WOULD LOVE TO SAVE THIS GIRL.   I have someone willing to foster this girl, and I'm looking to get her completely vetted, I just need a safe place for her to land.  She is so, so sweet!!

Bubba is a puppy that came in as a bite case.  He bit a child, but I would bite a child too if the parents allowed me to pull and jerk on me all the time; a 2 year old, and 6 year old.  The owner's response, "I should have shot this dog, and I don't want it anymore."  He is on bite hold quarantine until 5/15, but we have a foster that will foster, if any out of state rescues are interested just a happy little guy.  Looks Labbie in the face.

SMORES is a female Chi mix - SPAYED (TATTOO) - She was loaded with ticks, but we put flea medication on them, and they feel right off.  Super, super sweet!!  Appears to be housebroken, about 15 lbs, good with other dogs.  She is in the cat room for now.  She just follows you around. About 4-5 years of age, and is a super sweet dog!!  I love those ears on her.

Bowser is a senior dog.  We aren't sure if owner is going to reclaim him or not.  HE IS NEUTERED, and is VERY SWEET.  He is not eating well at the shelter, and is in a state of depression.  If his owner doesn't reclaim him, I would love for him to find a great rescue, as he is so deserving!

COURTESY POSTING!
Ginger is a Georgia brown dog, running as a stray.  Everyone was feeding her, and low and behold she got picked up by animal control.  A volunteer that had been feeding her, took her home, got her vetted, 100% housebroken.  She is super sweet and friendly girl, and will make a great dog for an active family.  Probably not too good with cats.  She just needs a home or rescue.  About 40 lbs, is FULLY VETTED, HW NEGATIVE.  Not at shelter.
