When a devoted dog stays by his deceased guardians body for several days without food or water you would think he would be rewarded for his loyalty, not dumped at the local shelter. GEE is a sweet natured, German Shepherd, red-listed after 6 weeks, during which time dedicated staff and volunteers worked to ease him out of his depressed and frightened state.
Last Thursday when he stepped outside the shelter he seemed older than his 5 years. But within hours of being in his foster home, his body relaxed, his smile returned, and the wonderful GEE suddenly appeared much younger ( his teeth appear to evidence that ) It is clear he enjoyed a lot of affection and playtime with the older man who he was a loyal companion to.
GEE is good with other dogs and loves his new toys. He is a magnificent dog, who is very eager to bond again, so please help us find him a deserving home. We have a trainer working with him on some basic commands and leash training FYI
