IN A NUTSHELL: This nice lady named Cori was on her way to work and saw a fluffy dog walking onto the freeway. She made a U-turn and "flagged" the dog down with a towel and the dog came to her and jumped in her car! She tried to do all the right things to find the owner of the dog and the dog was so sweet with her but when she took the dog to the shelter, the dog GOT SO SCARED AND FREAKED OUT!! The shelter labeled her "rescue-only"!!! No owner ever came for her....
NOT MUCH TIME LEFT!
They listed her as a Aussie / Keeshound mix, 10 years old!!!
See all info below and pics attached!!

I'm hoping you can help me help Marlo.  Unfortunately my inexperience has put Marlo in a life or death situation.  Here's her story:

On June 25th I was driving to an important work meeting I couldn't miss.  As I was driving by freeway on- ramp, I noticed a dog walking up the on-ramp to the freeway.  I instinctively made a u-turn, stopped my car on the side of the road, opened my back passenger door and got on my knees.  She continued to walk up the on-ramp.  I waved a white towel and called her over.  She turned around, trotted back down the ramp, and jumped in the back of my car.

I couldn't miss my meeting - so she was my passenger for the entire morning.  As we drove - I petted her and she wagged her tail and hopped in the front passenger seat.  She had no collar.  I went to my meeting and she waited in my car (it was cool outside so I wasn't worried that she would get hot -plus I parked underground and left the windows slightly open.)

After my meeting - we drove through Carl's Jr- where I treated her to two hamburgers.  She was so gentle when she ate them.  I then took her to the Vet to see if she was chipped.   I tracked the chip to a shelter in San Diego but it was never registered. They said that she was adopted back in October 2013 to a "Joe Smith."

According to the shelter, she is a Australian Shepard and Keeshond mix - around 10 years old.

I couldn't take her home, as live in a small place with 2 dogs and no yard. None of my friends were able to help house her.

So, I made the heartbreaking decision to take her to the shelter. The officer came and got her out of my car with a CATCHPOLE!!! She was sooooo frightened and flipped out!
I have called numerous times to check on her and they tell me, that she won't let them near her, she is too scared.

She had a hold on her due to the microchip but the hold is now up and she is "RESCUE ONLY" because of her fear issues!

I HAVE A REPUTABLE RESCUE WILLING TO BACK HER UP IF I CAN FIND A FOSTER HOME!!!

If you know of a foster or anyone that can help - I will transport and pay for her care and boarding.

PLEASE HELP ME, HELP SWEET MARLO!!!!

Thank you!

Cori
