Very happy to report that Moon has been adopted into a loving, indoor home where he is the only cat.  He shares space with a nice young woman, her mom, her dad, and the family dog.

Thanks to all of you who responded with suggestions and referrals, offers to take Moon, and donations for boarding.  Because of you he got a much-needed second chance.

No one has stepped up to help Moon and his time is running out.  Please crosspost to anyone who might be able to offer this poor boy a safe place to land.

As of 8/28/14, Sheri says there has not been one inquiry for poor abandoned Moon. He is a friendly youngster who needs rescue/adoption very urgently. Please adopt or network if you can.

cat is still in trouble. Vet has counseled owner but she still doesn't want him around her other cats. This poor guy is a recent rescue that owner's husband found in a parking garage. My clinic has agreed to hold him for a few days while we try to find him a place. My rescue does take black cats and FIV cats, but we are packed to the rafters.  We are a sanctuary for ferals and unadoptables and don't do adoptions at all. So no chance of a space opening up for this guy anytime soon.  Poor kitty.

This cat was a pet until his owner found out he is FIV positive – now she doesn’t want him.  A year and a half old, very friendly, already neutered.  I will bring his vaccines current if necessary.  We are already overfull and if I can’t find a spot for this guy I will pay to have him humanely euthanized rather than see him sent to Harris County.  We simply can’t squeeze in any more.
If you can help, please contact either Julie at Fairbanks Animal Clinic (713-937-7274 until 3:00 p.m. or ) or me (Sheri at Kitty City Ferals, or 832-496-8401) ASAP.  I can have him boarded for a day or two but we already have a large balance there.  Just bad timing for everyone, especially this poor kitty.  Or maybe just a bad owner.
please crosspost  . . . . .you lovely folks have come through for me in the past with senior declawed kitties.  Let’s see if we can make it happen again for a young cat who should have his whole life ahead of him.
Thank you!

Note: For those who wish to donate to Sheri's sanctuary Kitty City Ferals there is a current PayPal button at (the outdated) blog: Thanks!
