Houston TX: Update---YouCaring towards saving RE: URGENT! 62 Dogs & CATS TOO. Sudden Death of Houston Rescue group Founder Barbara Salesi. Group disbanding, needs to place 62 Dogs & Cats before Nov 3rd

FROM THE YOUCARING:
"The rescue is full of amazing volunteers that have really stepped up to complete her work.  Unfortunately, the rescue was in serious debt.  There are many animals still in limbo.  They still need medical treatment, spay and neuters, vaccines and heartworm treatment before they can be adopted. - See more at: http://www.youcaring.com/adoption-fundraiser/finishing-barbara-s-work-/241997#sthash.YElSzLEl.dpuf"

Can you help forward this –Founder of rescue group died.
As some of you may know, Barbara was a tireless advocate for the homeless dogs and cats of Houston and set up a non-profit animal rescue called Muttley Love. Unfortunately, none of the volunteers are able to take on the work load or financial expense of continuing the group so the board of directors decided to shut it down. There are 62 dogs and cats that need to find homes or be transferred to another rescue group by Nov. 3rd.   Any remaining pets will be returned to Animal Control.

Hey Dimitri   A client of ours passed away on Tuesday.  She worked for a company called Emerson.  As you read this you can see she had a dog and cat rescue   organization called Muttley Love.  Maybe Lisa has heard of it.  Anyways I thought if pass this on to Lisa -she would be the person who would know what to do.  Apparently there isn't anyone who is going to continue the organization she established.
Let me know if you need any more information   Hopefull for the dog's sake you can get the word out
Thanks Patrick

RAS Houston,

We have lost a dear friend and valued colleague.  Barbara Salesi suffered an intracranial hemorrhage on Monday during a family court appearance.  She passed away on Tuesday night after being diagnosed brain dead and then removed from a ventilator.

Each of us not only grieves at the passing of a tremendous individual but also the impact on her family and foster daughter, Lula.  Her father, sister, and brothers were able to meet together at the hospital on Tuesday.

The visitation will be Monday, 10/6 from 5 to 6 pm, followed by a rosary from 7 to 8, at Forest Park East (21620 Gulf Fwy, Webster, TX 77598). The funeral will be at Annunciation Catholic Church (1618 Texas Ave, Houston, TX 77003) at 10 am on Tuesday, 10/7.

Barbara was devoted to her foster daughter, Lula, who she was working to adopt but the process was far from complete. A hearing later this month will determine the next steps for Lula who is currently living with her designated emergency caregiver, a retired teacher and longtime friend of Barbara's. Barbara's family has no legal claim to Lula.

As an organization, Muttley Love is no longer accepting donations but anyone wishing to offer financial assistance may contact Eileen Swanson for information on how to help.  Also, People wishing to adopt a dog or cat should can contact the rescue on Facebook at (https://www.facebook.com/MuttleyLoveRescue) or PetFinder (https://www.petfinder.com/pet-search?shelterid=TX1616).

Our thoughts and prayers are with Lula and Barbara's family.

Regards,

Steve
