I want to thank everyone for the donations to help.with Butchs medical care. He is on cephalexin, eye meds, ear meds and ivomec. He has demodex mange which the vet believes was caused from stress. I will be bringing Butch home so he can be with me and out of boarding. He is such a wonderful boy and will get better real quick. I will post pictures once he is cleared up in hopes of finding him a forever loving home. He is very of course I will be very peculiar about his forever home. Lol He deserves only the best. Again, thank u to everyone who has helped me with this love bug.

Video below shows Butch is having a problem with his right eye. He also has a recurrence of a skin condition that was formerly cleared up.
If you can, please donate for Butch or adopt him.
Contact Joann 832-884-2115 with any questions.

Note: Another dog who was a stray the same time and place as Butch is Sasha. She was rescued slightly earlier than Butch by another rescuer in the Houston area, Angels Four Paws, but also still needs adoption. Please see her post too and take action if you can.

The vet called me today to give me an update. Butch will be neutered tomorrow. He rec'd all of his vaccines today, hw test, fecal and deworming. He has a skin and ear infection which they are treating with antibiotics.  He is heartworm positive.  She said he is a very sweet boy;)

I will talk to her in regard to hw tx and then work on raising money for hw treatment. He is such  a beautiful dog and I'm so glad we were able to help him.

He was neutered and came out of surgery all ok!

Not sure what will happen to Butch......Joe is also having chemo so he is really having a hard time.... Butch needs to be gone!

FYI there are some cats and kittens near him and in a bldg that needs rescuing  and a place to go too!

There are two black labs running around. I've seen them.  They have been there for quite a while running around in the area.....he said he caught one of them and a contact he had took that one.
He is going to try and trap the other.....this is a highly industrial area not to mention the freeways.

To: Jeannice Cain <>

Here are pics and story about the other dog the Homeless man still has in Houston TX (West Houston/Spring Branch area).  He desperately wants someone to take him.  He has two of his own dogs that have been with him for years and are plenty for him to take care of. Thanks Mike for going and taking all the pics and putting them together!

Butch is about 1- 1 1/2 years old. He had horrible mange and was very skinny when he first appeared.  He is very people friendly and dog friendly but not with one of Joe's altered male dogs. He is fine with the other altered male dog. Don't know it if is his dog not liking Butch or vice versus. So he has to keep them separated. He said he has had shots and has 'papers' on him. (I will ask for the papers)  Butch is not altered.  I doubt he has been on heartworm preventative.  A friend donated some flea preventative for all of them. But Butch definitely needs a bath!  Just look at those eyes and his expression!

IF we can get pledges going also for this handsome guy like we did for the pregnant black and white dog, maybe someone will come forward and take into a rescue/foster or better yet a home!  ps that girl should be having her pups any day now!

I will be the contact. Please send around and email re pledges/possible foster/rescue/home!
