Charlie has been rescued by SAVE A CAT RESCUE of Houston TX A 501(C)3 organization. Yay! Thanks to all who have been helping Charlie. He already got checked out at and admired by the Veterinary office and is on his way or already at his foster home. Please inquire at with any inquiries re adopting, donating or helping in other ways.

Homeless family has been caring for Charlie but he needs his own home as they are going to be moving on!
I don't know whether Charlie has been checked for a microchip or if there is someone out there missing him. Bett of NoKillHouston has referred me to the following info in the past:
"There are ideas for finding the owners of lost pets listed on our website."

Hi Liz, yes, that would be great! Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've contacted many rescues and so far everyone is full. One organization said they could help if someone can be found to foster. So if you can help get Charlie's info out there please do.

Thank you so much for your help,

Subject: Do you have space for homeless cat cared for by homeless family?

I'm a rescue volunteer in Chicago and I've been asked by a friend in Houston to help them find a home or a rescue for a homeless cat they are trying to help. The family are currently homeless as well and are living temporarily at a motel south of Houston where they've befriended a beautiful little guy they named Charlie. They've been feeding him and have taken them in to stay in their bathroom (they have a not-cat-friendly dog) on nights when it's been cold and Charlie is clearly liking being indoors and getting some human attention.
The family are in the process of securing more permanent housing but don't want to leave Charlie behind when they leave the hotel and are very worried about what will happen to them. They can't afford to commit to another pet as they are having a hard time caring for the dog they have so they can't take Charlie along with them. They are desperate to find a safe place for Charlie to go before they leave the motel.
Charlie is a very pretty gray tabby who is very friendly with people and has probably had a home in the past so he would make a great candidate for adoption. He's most likely not neutered as he's gotten into fights with other cats, judging by the nicks on him, but he appears to be a healthy boy. I've included a couple of pictures of him below.

Does your organization by any chance have space for Charlie so that he can get into the home he belongs in? If not, is there another place you could suggest I contact?

Thank you for your help and everything you do for the animals,

Josefine Miller
