This has not gotten resolved yet. The girls are still in our custody and are doing great.

My name is Alex and I live in Jacksonville, FL. The week of Christmas, my girlfriend and I were out walking our two doggies and we saw two sweet girls running scared around our neighborhood. As we approached them, we noticed they were extremely malnourished, beat up and scared. We immediately took them in and began taking care of them. The next day at our vets office, we found out one needed to be spayed, both were in need of lots of medicine and weight gain but overall, they were healthy girls. The vet believes they were both on a breeder farm nearby and either escaped or were let go. Either way, he believes they were out on the streets for weeks, maybe months.

All that sad stuff aside, Bella and Becca (as we have named them) are now 5-6 year old healthy, happy purebred Treeing Walker Coonhounds. They are up to date on all vaccinations, are on month two of the slow kill heart worm treatment (the heart worms were caught in VERY early stages), are spayed, of healthy weight and are ready for a loving home. They are genuinely two of the sweetest, snuggliest girls I’ve met and I wish we could keep them...I was hoping you could point me in the right direction or help us find a home for these two. We have two weeks before we move into an apartment where we will not be able to bring them with us. Anything you all can offer would be amazing. Thanks so much for your time.

Hope to speak with you soon,
Alex Groves
