I am not the contact.   Please pass this on if you're not taking them.   It's very helpful to send these on if you can, as you never know who might need a great cat in their lives.   Thanks!

I was contacted by someone asking for help. Her brother, a veteran, has five cats. He loves them dearly and would do anything for them. He has been battling cancer and was in remission. He has now been back in the hospital for a couple of months now and sadly, this time he won't be returning home. The cats are at his home and family has been taking turns feeding them and spending limited time. The family was able to place two of his cats. There are three remaining. A bonded pair, Xander and Tara and Patches. Xander and Tara are very bonded and need to stay together. His sister tells me that he is so concerned about his kitties. He loves them so much. I would like to help put his mind at ease before he leaves this earth and assure him that his kitties have been placed in loving homes.  Here are a few photos. I have asked his sister to provide me with more when she gets a minute. This is a very trying time for this family so although I wish I had a couple of better photos I'm not pushing it. I appreciate any help to find these little ones a home. They are all altered, healthy and up to date on shots. Please contact me with any questions. They are currently located in Burbank. Thank you for your help.

Go Get a Life---Go Get a Shelter Animal!

If you can't adopt, then foster a "bottle baby" shelter animal, to save their life.  If you can't bottle feed, then foster an older or special-needs animal, to save their life, and to free up cage space for another life.

Ask your local animal pound to start saving over 90% (and as high as 99%) of their intake by implementing the No Kill Equation: http://www.nokilladvocacycenter.org/shelter-reform/no-kill-equation/.  Here's a list of communities saving 90% or more of their shelter intake: http://outthefrontdoor.com/, with special notice to: http://outthefrontdoor.com/2013/12/03/can-we-adopt-our-way-out-of-killing/  More fun reading: http://www.nokilladvocacycenter.org/shelter-reform/guides/ More fun watching:  http://vimeo.com/48445902 and http://vimeo.com/70632980
