Reaction to door opening: Tiger becomes alert and remains sitting upright on his cage bedding. Reaction to touch: Tiger does not allow the stroke, swats at the assessor's hand then starts to hiss. Reaction to Toy or Novel Object: Shows no interest. Placement determination: NH ONLY Tiger is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room. He is stressed in the shelter environment and does not currently tolerate petting. TIGER IS 17 YEARS OLD AND HIS FORMER 'OWNER' brought him into ACC for 'meowing alot and being too active.' I am not making this up, this is actually stated on TIGER'S sign over sheet. Tiger initially allowed petting, but became fractious at his last exam, and earned himself a place on death row. TIGER wasn't noted to have any outright medical conditions, but of course the ACC haven't run any tests on this 17 year old mancat. He's probably got some arthritis going on, he's got...
