My name is Zakia James, and I'm in desperate need of finding someone to foster my dog. I'm going to give you a brief overview of my problem, I rescued Hope (my dog) 15 years ago and she has been with me ever since.  I was evicted from a pet friendly apartment in July 2014 and had to live in a hotel for 4 months with my Daughter and my dog.  I found an apartment complex that was willing to rent to me but they are not pet friendly.

I tried to hide her in my apartment until I could find someone to foster but management discovered she was in the apartment and told me Hope has to go, otherwise we would be evicted.  So I took her to the vet to get her boarded thinking it would be just a week and someone would be willing to watch her for me.

I haven't found anyone to help me plus I'm having problems with paying the boarding fees.

Please help me, I don't know what to do and I don't want to lose Hope.

Thank you so much,

Owner would be able to provide financial assistance with food and medical bills. She's an inside dog and has a good temperament however she is skittish because of what happened in her past.  A little more info:  Thank you for responding back.  Hope is a Collie mix.  (I'm not sure what she's mixed with), and she weighs 44 lbs.  She was abandoned 3 times before I rescued her.  When she was with her 1st owner she was hit by a car and her front leg was broken and never treated.

The 1st owner gave her to an elderly woman who was kind to Hope but unfortunately Hope was too active for her to keep up with so she gave her to what was seemingly a nice family.

The family left Hope in a house abandoned with no food and water and the neighbor heard her trying to get out, and was able to get her out the house.  A friend of a friend knew the neighbor and asked me if I wanted to foster her until they could find a permanent home and I ended up keeping her. Hope was only 8 months old when she was given to me.
