Subject: TN - SAD NEW ABOUT TN DOG BREEDERS!!!! :(

There are dog breeders in our community who must have been overjoyed at this news. Currently in TN dog breeders do not have to be licensed, are not inspected, and are not required to provide basic vetting for their animals. What a pathetic reflection on the value our state places on animals.
SAD NEWS! The Tennessee House Business & Utilities sub-committee did NOT pass the puppy mill bill today.
The AKC, the Nashville Kennel Club, and the TN Federation of Dog Clubs actively opposed this bill and testified as such.
Representatives voting against the amendment included Rep Pat Marsh, Rep Marc Gravitt, Rep Patsy Hazelwood, and Rep John Holsclaw.
During the committee discussion on the bill, Rep Marc Gravitt
stated that he had received more emails and phone calls on this bill than ANY other bill other than Insure Tn. Unfortunately the overwhelming majority of calls he received were AGAINST the bill.
This bill will be heard again in 2016.
NEXT time OUR voices need to be the loudest!
We tried.
