HELP IS DESPERATELY NEEDED for 6 stray dogs that are coming and going from a construction company in the vicinity of I-20 and Loop 12. FOUR ARE FEMALE DOGS - THERE ARE GOING TO BE PUPPIES EVERYWHERE IF SOMETHING ISN'T DONE NOW

Ramona is a huge animal lover and is so scared for them.  This is some property owned by her family, and there are people - neighboring properties -  now threatening to shoot them.  Ramona tells me this is a common dumping ground for poor unwanted dogs and puppies.

She's been trying to work with these 6 stray dogs and has 4-5 eating treats out of her hand, and has raised approximately $250 so far to help with vetting.  SHE HAS A POTENTIAL FOSTER LINED UP FOR 3 IF 3 COULD BE CAUGHT AND FULLY VETTED.  They will soon be overrun with puppies if something isn't done now since most are female. All of these dogs appear to be dumped in this area.

WHAT HAS BEEN DONE SO FAR:  Ramona received a trap borrowed from Duck Team 6 but at this point the trap she borrowed now needs to be returned and she was not able to catch any dogs.  Apparently someone told her about TCAP but only the Allen location had an available appt, but then she was unable to catch any dogs.  They also, when she spoke to them to reschedule, they did not sound very open to working with dogs like this.   She is stuck now not knowing how to be proceed.

NEEDED:  Anyone at all that could help.  One of these dogs was already in heat.  One is now in heat.  And one could be in heat any time.  NO telling on the fourth female.  This is going to be the biggest mess with pups potentially everywhere if something isn't done now.
  • Suggest potentially that perhaps some rescues could possibly help by offering the services of a vet that they currently use so that a drop-off could be done.  NOT ALL VETS WORK WITH SHY DOGS OR DOGS THAT HAVE NOT BEEN EVALUATED.  PLEASE - IF YOU HAVE SUGGESTIONS LET RAMONA KNOW.
  • Perhaps a rescue could offer to help head up an effort to help these dogs?  Anyone?  You will be an angel helping some dogs that desperately need your help.
  • Suggest more than one trap needed.  Since the one she has is borrowed and has to go back, she is going to need some help here.
  • A potential foster is already  lined up that is willing to work with three dogs but cannot take them until they are fixed/vetted..  Per conversation we think the girl dogs should be first priority just due to the issue of puppies.   Suggest that fosters are desperately needed for the 4 remaining dogs.
  • This is zip code 75236.  Is anyone aware if Dallas SPCA would possibly fix a dog out of this area code for free?  Do they work with this type of dog?  (NOT to stay there - obviously these dogs would not currently pass their evaluation and would be euth'd - just asking if it would be possible they would handle dogs like this to be fixed hopefully for free or discount?).
  • Suggest that someone could help her if at all possible with drumming up some additional funding for vetting. She was not familiar with GOFUNDME when we spoke.  IF someone could help her with that or something even where a group would be willing to get donations going to help where we could all donate, that's what is needed.   She has $250 raised so far

IF ANYONE CAN HELP THESE DOGS OR HAS SUGGESTIONS - PLEASE - RAMONA NEEDS YOU TO CALL OR EMAIL.  SHE SAID CALLING WILL BE THE QUICKEST AND SHE SO APPRECIATES ANY SUGGESTIONS OR HELP.

Of the 6 dogs coming and going from this property.  4 Females, 2 Males.

They consist of:

2 Beagle Mix sisters, both about 7-9 months old - approximately 35 pounds.  One looks more Beagle, the other has pretty gold eyes.  they have both taken treats from her hand..They seem interested in people - just need someone to work with them.

1 Catahoula or Plott Mix - Female that appears to be a young dog that was dumped in the area and originally had puppies with her.  Leggier than the Beagle mixes but still only about 35 pounds. They were living in an abandoned trailer across the street from this site and the puppies did go to a rescue in February timeframe  but momma is still out there and still not fixed.  She has also taken a treat from her hand.

1 Blondish Male (buckskin color) - This boy comes when called and seems to have a cute personality per Ramona.  Look at the cute face and goober ears.  Will come running to her.  Has taken treats from her hand. About 45 pounds.  He's pictured in this group shot ...

2 Reddish Dogs - Brother & Sister.  Sister pictured.  More shy and will come be fed but have not taken treats directly from her hand.  About 55 pounds.  They look identical  Female pictured.
