Hi Liz – the contact would be Gail at the Montville Shelter 973-334-6410, or you can use my email and I can forward inquiries to her or the animal hospital that’s helping as well.
Many thanks – and sure, you can use my update in your blog.

Hi Liz,
Thanks for your email.  Ty still needs placement --  at this point he is not in imminent danger of being pts because he was seen by the vet and has been put on an anti-anxiety medicine and seems to be tolerating that well, so he’s calmer at the shelter, but the shelter wants to find him a foster or permanent home soon, where he won’t have to be crated or stay on meds for anxiety.  Normally this shelter would not pts but Ty was becoming highly stressed in the kennel and hurting himself – there had been no interest by adopters and they were really worried.
So any outreach for foster home or adoption would be great.
Many thanks,
Carole Michales

Subject: Urgent - 6 year old pit bull will be pts
Hi – please post this – it's urgent.  The West Caldwell Animal hospital called me about this one – they had a call from the ACO at the shelter where this dog was surrendered because the family moved and could not take him.  The info we have is that he's friendly, good with dogs and cats, kids, everyone – his only issue is that he doesn't do well in a crate or kennel and the shelter he is at he is hurting himself, and the shelter will euthanize him if rescue isn't found asap.
He is in Montville, NJ.
