Cat escapes shelter, now to be PTS - Northern NJ

This sweet plump orange guy escaped being put to sleep last week, only to be caught because he is so sweet and put back in the shelter.  He is scheduled to be euthanized next week.

He is an owner surrender, in good health and a sweetheart.  Somehow, he escaped the shelter overnight last week (cage found open in the morning) just before being put down that day.  Someone found him outside - he is very friendly - and brought him back in.  :-(

Please contact me if you can rescue him!  pathwaytohope@yahoo.com

I know we are all buried in kitten season, and we physically have nowhere for him, but he is breaking my heart!  I am sure we can get vetting sponsored, and I believe he is neutered.
