Subject: Flood Update...
Catherine says, "Not a single house in Wharton flooded!"
Saturday, police closed just three streets in West Wharton,
which were closest to the river.
But not a single house was flooded, despite news reports to the contrary!
I verified this with Wharton Police Lt. Hayes, at the scene of the street closings.
We attend the same church as the city manager,
and he told the congregation Sunday morning that not one house flooded!
Of course, the river never overflowed its banks in other parts of the county either
The Colorado River hit 44.7 feet Saturday mid-day.
By Saturday night it was down to 42 feet.
Sunday, after church, it was down to 38 feet.
Our weather report is calling for sunshine and no rain for the next week!
In other news,,,
We Still Need 5 Fosters!
If you can foster one of our dogs,
you could make it possible for that dog to find a family!
Our fosters are usually very short term
Just long enough to meet a few families.
And then the dogs move on into their new adoptive homes!
We especially need fosters in New York, New Jersey,
Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island,
New Hampshire and Vermont
We have lots of potential adopters in these states.
If they could meet our dogs in person, we could place even more dogs!
Fosters are some of the unsung heroes of Rescue!
If you can foster one of our babies for just a few weeks,
please contact Melody at Senexmel22@aol.com
or Jay at Hellerich@aol.com
