Subject: Rescue group closing
Hello Ladies,
Thank you for responding. Unfortunately its true my group, Second Chance Animal Rescue is in trouble.  I went through a messy divorce last year.  The marital property is family land.  I paid out every penny i had and we made an agreement for the rescue to remain on the property while posting it for sale.  Long story short the ex-family got involved and took the property back over and basically shut me out and gave me very little time to find homes for the dogs.

As it is right now I have no access to the house and I have to climb a fence to feed and water the dogs.  I am fearful that the shelter will be called and all my babies will be euthanized.  We have a very cruel system here in Surry County and its almost guaranteed they will not survive.
My heart is breaking, I love my babies dearly.  I just want them to be safe.
I have moved to a rental house, and animals are not allowed. I am struggling to feed and care for them and keep up myself.  I have tried to find foster homes for the rescues but this is such a poor area that help is just not available.
I am looking into the legal aspects of it but in the meantime I need to regroup the rescue organization and find a new location.
I have a pilot that will fly the pets where they need to go.  I have 13 dogs and 2 cats total.  5 of the dogs are very adoptable.  8 of the dogs are special needs.  They are loving and social but have reoccurring Demadex Mange.
If you can help in any way, it will be greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,
Sherry

If you're thinking of re-homing or giving up your animal, please take into
consideration the amount of homeless and abandoned animals there
currently are & seek out ways to get help via an animal
trainer/behaviorist. Many rescues & shelters are full to capacity with
companion animals looking for a place to call their own.
