Dear Animal Friends,

Marcy and Tony were rescued by me as kittens and fostered by my friend Eva (see older pics). Although they are not siblings, they bonded at an early age, so we really wanted them to be adopted together.

Now, 2 years later, the person who adopted them wants to give them up. Of course this is upsetting for so many reasons. We are worried that she will give them to a shelter if we don't find a new
place for them soon.

But instead of getting angry and frustrated, we to need to focus on finding these two sweethearts a better, loving home.

Can you please help us!!! We know it's not easy to find homes for two adult cats, that's why we really need a lot of personal networking.

Below is the email from the adopter.

Eva or myself will be the contact person and will arrange the new adoption or release to a rescue.

—————————————

Marcy and Tony have been my cats for almost 2 years. They have always been together. I am looking for a new, bigger, and quiet home for them. They are both very quiet and don't make much noise. They don't run around or scratch furniture. Marcy likes to hide during the day and come out at night to sleep on the bed. Tony stays out lounging and showing off his body until bed time he goes off and hides. Both are fixed, have all shots and are healthy. They do not like to be held but they are very submissive. They don't scratch or hiss and usually come around to get pet on their own terms. I originally adopted them with my ex who moved away three months later. I live on the second floor and they don't go outdoors. As they grew older they would walk out the window onto the ac box and watch the birds or they would walk into the hallway of my apt building to get space. Now that they are bigger they don't fit on ac box and management does not allow them to walk into the hallway. Over the last past year I have been really busy and haven't been able to care for them properly. They have been showing signs of being unhappy and I feel they need more space and an owner with a more stable schedule. Not to mention I continuously get sick during the months it is too cold or hot to leave windows open to vent my small studio.i just don't have enough room for all of us. The original plan was to get a bigger place with my ex after we got them but that never happened and now I'm hardly ever home. I'm afraid keeping them will be damaging to my health as well as theirs. Please share and message me if you are interested. Thank you.
