Urgent Plea for a male dog that was attacked Friday and surrendered
- From Jen with Granville County SAPRE 10/4/15

Stakie is in need of Emergency Rescue and Medical!
Please Help this Sweet Boy!

Stakie came into the shelter Saturday after he was attacked; his owner surrendered him.  He is located at the Granville County Animal Shelter in Oxford, NCThe shelter is fullThey will have to euthanize to make room if more dogs come in.

Stakie was on a chain, and the other dog broke off his chain and attacked him.  The owner brought him to the shelter and surrendered him.  They kept their other dog.

Notes from SPARE Co-Founder:

I was at shelter when he came in all bloody.  His right front leg is injured.  He would not get up yesterday (Friday), but when I went in today (Saturday) he did only put a little weight on it.

He was very sweet with me and Danya.  Colt said he was a nice dog.  Melissa had no issue cleaning him up.

He was full of wags, despite what happened to him and the obvious pain he is in.

Stakie needs help ASAP!!  Would you be able to take him into your organization?  We already have a temporary foster here if he would need that.

Please contact me if you can help this sweet boy: gcspare@aol.com       (at     aol.com).
If you cannot help Stakie, but may have room for another dog, please go to our Facebook page, click photos and then albums.  The shelter only has 22 adult kennels, and it is full.
