Hamilton, IL: If you can help sponsor or rescue this girl, please contact
Sami, female American bulldog, 7yrs old, 80lbs.  She was at the last min handed over to me from a breeder, I was asked if I would take her or they were planning on having her put down since she isn't producing litters like they want her to.  GRRRR!  She is super sweet, outgoing, very social and walks on a leash.  She has lived her whole life used for breeding, please please give her a chance for a normal dogs life!
Ft Madison, Iowa: DYINGout of time.  TEARS for this pair of homeless souls.  Animal Control-Senior dogs brought in together, I believe they are brother & sister, lab mixes. Both very friendly. Both have bad teeth & fatty tumors. Choc female may have a hip issue. Black dog is a male. They are bonded. As hard as it would it would be nice if they could stay together.  Both will be PTS if not pulled.
Boo, Sponorship help!....senior 12ish years old female terrier mix, 30lbs.  Fine with other dogs but prefers to eat by herself.  Poor girl was found stray and left sitting in a shelter for over a month!
Hank is a funny boy, dumped at the pound, 2-3yrs old, hound pointer mix, 40lbs.  Great with everyone!  Very social and outgoing.
Bella, female pointer/hound mix, 4-5yrs old, dumped at the pound, 45lbs.  She is very sweet and social, great with other dogs.
Sara, female breeder release full applehead chihuahua, 5yrs old and 5lbs.  Scared at first, wags her tail none stop but will need some patience to gain her trust.
Simon, neutered male, dumped at the pound, 2-3yrs old, full 8lb chihuahua.  Great with me and my daughters, not crazy about men.  He is a lap pooch, gets very excited and want to be held.

Breeder Release list: (no further details, they will be PTS if we don't pull them, no pictures at this time)

He was picked up as a stray in Sept.  and has been at the city pound since then ... they are calling him "Buddy".  He is a nice, young neutered terrier mix. He is good with both people and dogs. Approx. 1-2 yrs old and 22 lbs... he is so sweet.
This is Journey, a lab/boxer mix. She has been a resident at the  Keokuk Humane Society for two years!
Everyone loves Journey ... she is sweet and playful in spite of her weight (photos attached).  Unfortunately, she gets very little exercise and is fed way too much.  I walked her the other day ... she does well on a leash. I'm
guessing she weighs close to 90 lbs ... , although she has just an average size build.  Journey was born in February of 2009, which would make her 6 now.  She has been spayed and is up to date
on all vaccines.  She is okay with calm dogs but not excitable dogs ... she does not like to be jumped on. She is also good with older children. She loves to fetch balls and have her tummy rubbed.  I did notice when she rolled over
for me to rub her tummy that it appears as if she has a skin infection which needs attention ... probably grass allergies, I'm guessing.  Journey is house-trained (or was when she arrived at the shelter). And, she doesn't like cats.
Homer is a 2 year old neutered pointer/plot hound mix.  He is UTD on his vaccines and has been at Keokuk Humane Society for a year.  He loves everyone, including other dogs (but no cats). He is full of energy and LOVES to play. Also, walks very nicely on a leash.
Rosie, stray at the pound, spayed and 1yr old.  Loves everyone (including cats!)
Petey, 4yrs old, from a high kill shelter.  Neutered and vaccinations current.  Loves everyone!!
This is our county dog pound.  Winter is coming and we are in desperate need of 4 new kuranda beds to get the dogs off the cold concrete floor.  We also need knee stainless steel water/food pails and need food for our foster dogs.  If anyone can help with some supplies before winter hits, please contact
