Houston TX: 1-13-16 alerts for BARC medical/behavioral DOGs and CATs

Update. Please check the DOGs added to the blogs. Two Lab pups Sunshine and Mako are a new alert. Also, the following two alerts are for two dogs who were circulated in December but nobody rescued them. Sampson a Lab mix and Tracker a Blue Tick Hound mix were going to be PTS today but staff pulled them off the list for today to give them one LAST CHANCE. Please click on following to go to their alerts:

Earlier
Today 1/13/16 BARC has issued four urgent medical DOG alerts including a heartworm negative Mom & 8 puppies, an injured but recovering American Bulldog, a mixed breed puppy, and a 13-week-old Chow mix puppy who apparently was a stray. There are two alerts for CATs so far. One is for an underweight Tuxedo with hairloss and one for a ginger cat with gorgeous coat who tested positive for FIV. Most likely more alerts will be issued. Please see blogs below to view new ones as well as previous days' alerts.

Please share for the pets. The shelter is the contact for FOSTER, RESCUE, or ADOPTIONS. Please contact them at BARC.Aid@houstontx.gov with any questions. They are very busy but rescue-friendly.

A box at the top left of each blog enables searching by ID number, breed, or other keyword. Each alert may be shared individually. Instructions for placing a hold are in each notice and there are icons at the bottom of each which can be clicked to forward an item via email or social media. Petharbor may always be consulted for adoptables.
