Where do you go when you HAVE nowhere to go? Dallas needs help. (Houston)

Dallas is 11 years old.  She got in the wrong line when she picked out her person, because her person ended up on that bad, slippery slope to economic disaster.  Some kind people have been helping the lady board her two dogs, but Dallas was not thriving in boarding and had to leave. She has with her owner, who is living with friends in a no-pet rental, for a couple of days and today, Dallas has to leave. She has overstayed her welcome.

Dallas is fine with other dogs.  She’s never been around cats.  To my knowledge, her owner will have to use her car as a crate for Dallas, to get her out of the house.  This old dog is super-stressed and needs some stability.  She is only about 45 lbs.  If you know of any option for her, let me know at alexandra.kelsey@bgllp.com.

The second dog, Petunia, is a Shar Pei, and she is boarded until January 15th at the very outside.  Fully vetted and HW-, about 7 years old.  Again, if you know of anyone looking for a nice dog, let me know.

Thanks so much.

Subject: She didn't deserve it. But, her life is a train wreck.  (Houston)
In October, a plea went out for Dallas and Petunia.  They have a mom.  She just doesn't have her own house right now.  Her son, who was taking care of the dogs, turned them in to Harris County.  The owner was able to retrieve them but the friends she lives with for now won't allow dogs.

Dallas and Petunia, thanks to the kindness of a rescuer, have been boarded since Oct. 30, 2015But, Dallas is 11 now, not doing well in boarding and she urgently needs either a home-type foster or a medical foster, who can pay more attention to her.  Petunia's boarding option ends on January 15, 2016.

The owner may know mid-month about an option that would enable her to get into her own place and take her dogs.  If not, the dogs are at risk.  The younger dog may do ok being bounced around, but the old girl really needs someplace safe to land and she needs that immediately.

Dallas is a Lab mix, about 45 lbs., and Petunia is a Sharpei, about 35 lbs. They're house-trained and crate-trained and have always been inside dogs. They are nice dogs who are having to share their owner's very bad luck.

If you can help, let me know, and please pass this on.  Alexandra.kelsey@bgllp.com
