Houston TX: Urgent BARC 1-31 medical/behavioral DOG and CAT alerts

Doggie's post is HERE and kitty's post is HERE

Today 1/31 there are two updates re urgent DOGs needing FOSTER or RESCUE. The Schnauzer mix A1374102 has new photos, and Jackson has EXIT PHOTOS in his YouCaring. There is one urgent CAT alert for a beautiful 10-pound young Lynx Point Siamese A1374277 who tested positive for FIV. Please also consider previous days' pet alerts, and note Alejandra's plea from 1/30 herebelow. Essentially everyone at BARC is very urgent.

DOG alerts are at:

The shelter is the contact for FOSTER, RESCUE, or ADOPTIONS. They are very busy but rescue-friendly. Please contact them at BARC.Aid@houstontx.gov with any questions. There is a box at top left of each blog to search by ID number, breed, or other key word. Each alert has instructions for placing a hold and may be shared individually by email or social media. Adoptable pets may always be viewed on Petharbor. Please share quickly and widely for the pets if you can.

Hello Fosters & Rescues,

BARC LogoSadly BARC is full and has no space in Adoptions nor in Intake. Today was a very slow adoption day L If you have holds on animals in our adoption area please pick up as soon as you can; especially those that are length of stay.

If you are interested in tagging any adoption dogs please let us know asap too.

Thank you! Hope you are enjoying this beautiful sunny day,

Alejandra
