Mastic Beach NY: Furever home needed for 14-yr-old Shadow the Lab/Spitz mix who is losing her lifelong home

Shadow is hearing and vision impaired.  Her rehoming placement is courtesy of PAC (http://www.peopleadvocatingforchange.org/contact-us). She does not need a foster, but rather a forever home.

Shadow is losing the loving home she's had since puppyhood. Recently seen by a vet, Shadow is 50 pounds and in good health for her age. She is housebroken and excellent in the home. She is very good with cats, and loves being with people. If you own other dogs, a meet and greet is required with your dog. Her advocate is People Advocating for Change, Inc. (PAC).

Blind Deaf Senior Girl Shadow needs a new home to spend her golden years with love! What a heartbreaking story. Senior owners have had Shadow since she was only 6 months old. The wife has recently passed away, and the husband has to move and cannot physically or financially take care of Shadow anymore. He is heartbroken, but has no other choice than to find her a home, it's just too much for his fragile medical state. Shadow is 14 years young, blind and deaf, but otherwise healthy. She is house-trained and spayed and loves being with people and cats. Shadow is such a sweet, sweet dog, she also loves her "baby," a teddy bear she's had since the start, who will come with her to her new home. For more information, please call PAC at 631-505-3833 or message us here. Please share so we can get this sweet senior a home!
