Houston TX: Urgent. 2-16 BARC alerts for medical/behavioral DOGs and CATs

Update: A big timid Mastiff mix (Labrador?) girl A1374419 has been added to the blog. She was abandoned by her owner, impounded 1/27, high HW+ and available to foster or rescue.

Today 2-16 so far there are three new medical/behavioral DOG alerts on the blogs, and no new alerts for CATs. One of the dogs today, Gorgeous George, is available for adoption as well as foster or rescue, even though he is high HW+.  Everybody at BARC is very urgent. The pets on the following blogs are typically medical/behavioral impounds who are available for FOSTER or RESCUE. An abundance of adoptable pets is viewable on Petharbor.

Please consider previous days' alerts too. The shelter is the contact for FOSTER, RESCUE, or ADOPTIONS. They are very busy but rescue-friendly. Please contact them at BARC.Aid@houstontx.gov with any questions.
DOG alerts are at:  http://barcnotifications.blogspot.com/
CAT alerts are at:  http://catnoticesbarc.blogspot.com/
There is a box at top left of each blog to search by ID number, breed, or other key word. Each alert has instructions for placing a hold, and there are icons at the bottom of each to click for sharing by email or social media. Please share quickly and widely for the pets if you can.
