Houston TX: Urgent. BARC 2-18 medical/behavioral DOG alerts--For LOS CATs and DOGs contact BARC b4 Mon 9AM

Some of the many souls in danger at BARC.
A1379493 is a lactating Boxer mix with no puppies.
The Vallhund and Corgi mixes are Dutch and Rita,
a young, worried Hwneg pair surrendered by their owner

Update: An alert for Shy HW+ Pink was just added.

Today 2-18 there is ONE new CAT alert which is for Spike the Solitary Length-of-Stay Adoptable Tabby. There is also a sad update for Bali RIP the 9-wk-old kitten A1379599 posted yesterday who was rescued by Loving Placement Animal League. There are 13 new medical/behavioral DOG alerts, and an updated plea for the sweet guy A1379840 formerly a medical/behavioral now upgraded to available for adoption. Check out the owner-surrendered Puma and Princess who are high-HW+ young GSDs. There are also 28 dogs on the list of adoptable Length-of-Stay Dogs (been there the longest, therefore most in danger). Everybody at BARC is very urgent. Medical/behavioral impounds are available for FOSTER or RESCUE. If you are interested in any of the LOS pets, notification needs to be made to BARC before 9AM on Monday 2/22.
DOG alerts are at:  http://barcnotifications.blogspot.com/
CAT alerts are at:  http://catnoticesbarc.blogspot.com/
Please consider the previous days' alerts as well. An abundance of adoptable pets is viewable on Petharbor. The shelter is the contact for FOSTER, RESCUE, or ADOPTIONS. They are very busy but rescue-friendly. Please contact them at BARC.Aid@houstontx.gov with any questions. There is a box at top left of each blog to search by ID number, breed, or other key word such as name. Each alert has instructions for placing a hold, and there are icons at the bottom of each to click for sharing by email or social media. Please share quickly and widely for the pets if you can.
