BORN ON THE STREETS OF GALATI, THESE HOMELESS SISTERS MANAGED TO SURVIVE 1 YEAR ON THEIR OWN BEFORE BEING RESCUED BY ROLDA.

Helen, Betty and Amy are approximately one year old, weigh around 4kg and are the same tiny size. (See pictures below).

Like the majority of strays in Romania, they are mutts — mixed breeds that have unfairly received a reputation for being filthy and dangerous.

A total misrepresentation.

Puppies like Helen, Betty and Amy are timid, gentle animals that only want one thing.

A chance.

Giving them a chance means making an effort to look beyond their appearance, and to ignore the cruel things people say about them. It means not being so quick to dismiss them before you've tried to understand their pain.

Every homeless dog has a history. Those that aren't born homeless, have been abandoned. But regardless of how they end up alone, their lives are full of suffering and injustice.

Newborn strays learn to adapt to street life from birth, while abandoned dogs struggle to adjust from having someone around to feed and care for them to suffering neglect, starvation, disease, and abuse.

No dog deserves this.

If strays are aggressive or filthy it's because they're protecting themselves from the constant abuse they receive.

They live in fear.

Helen, Betty and Amy are lucky because they've been rescued at a young age. Now they have the opportunity to be happy!
